Calcium? Potassium lockout? Hempy bucket grow

Hello.

About to finish up a grow that has been a disaster, constantly chasing a healthy plats so hearing ”weed is so easy to grow” is kinda funny by now.

Im chasing after deficiency, lockouts or whatever the cause can be for this. Every grow has had similiar issues even when changing nutrition formulas, going from luquid to powder for the KISS method etc.

Setup is a small tent, on the edge of micro. 75w cob leds, 25-27c 40%RO so its toasty but cant be fixed. Using Hempy buckets with hole 2” up, 80/20 perlite vermi mix to hold some moisture.

Got myself a PH pen to monitor, dialing in 5.8-6ph, medium-soft tapwater, using Terra Aquatica (Maxibloom) Drypart bloom 6-17-15, phing up and adding some calcium due to softish water.

Nothing helps, nothing works. Looks like a nutburn at the tips but just escalates. Plenty of new growth looks OK but feels thing and eventually hangs.

This is a long gone scenario right now that started by just the tips being sliightly yellow as can be seen on sugarleaves.

Honestly Im lost. Im debating to try to up the PH to 6.2+ just to see if its a potassium lockout or something to rule something out as this looks like every problem known combined.

How should I start? In an extreme end because the kiss method just arent working, clearly.

Ladies are soon 8 weeks in so end of cycle is coming around but as this happens every time I might aswell try and solve it.

How much nutrients are you adding?

looks crispy, i would raise humidity.

How much ph up do you use?

Doesn't look like a deficiency lol it Looks absolutely nute fried from a huge excess of something!, i would change YOUR method with perlite/coco and a backed brand of grow/flower A&B..n that , and ur ladies will have much better dayzzzz!!!

Low rh/ plant drinks more = nutrient burn.

Without knowing your feeding schedule. Nutrient lockout. Too heavy on the nutes leading to salt build up and super low PH. Just a guess but this looks like classic lockout.

following the feeding on the package, 1.9g per litre of water. Drags down ph to 5.3ish so add 0.3ml ph up to 5.9ish and 1ml calcium

that's your problem. severe overfeeding. what is the EC of your feed?

About 0.3ml per 2 litre of water to raise it .5 or something close to that. Have checked at stirring, after letting the mixing sit for a few hours and the runoff is 5.8ish.

Have tried using AN formula, pretty much same results. Any suggestions?

Yeah I agree it looks like a lockout or burn but checking the parameters I can lead me to being clueless.

I feed per the instructions which is suppose to be 1.9g and max dosage is 3g per litre, drinking about 2L per 3 days.

New growth has the same pattern with edges going yellow and it just keeps on going. Lower growth not as affected.

Honestly no idea, havent got that pen yet.
However checking the package again says 1.9g per litre of water in flower and beneath in the same coloumn says EC (ms) 1.8-2.2

when i use maxibloom, i use 2 grams per gallon and it is 5-15-14 which is weaker than your formula.

Also, You prob don't need a cacium supplement every watering and if so it should be with magnesium... just adding calcium can mess up the feeding ratio.

Wow, thats about half of a medium feed recommended.

I guess I will try to flush and refeed using half the nutes or even less than that.

get yourself an EC meter for sure. they are relatively cheap. you "shouldn't" need to go much over 1.2 even with a monster plant

I will, have to do some experiment. Found plenty of people using 6g per gallon Maxibloom which is pretty hefty compared to your dosage.
There seems to be so much conflicting information in general about growing cannabis.
Reading on the ”big sites” they recommend 1.8-2.0 ec in late bloom, sometimes I read 6.2ph and other times 5.8ph… I guess I will have to find what works for me as this clearly doesnt.
Have gotten a beginning of foxtailing I think, nothing crazy but a spout or two.

you'd be surprised at how low an EC you really need.

and think of it this way, it's WAY easier to overfeed than underfeed.
as soon as you see tip burn, you know your EC is too high

Some plants can take much higher EC than others... and thinking more is better is just so not true.. feeding more will not yield you more...you get great results by giving her just what she needs to grow happily which is hardly ever more than the recommended dose ( sometimes definitely less depending on the product) .. and too right once you see tip burn back it off abit, she doesn't want anything higher than what you are giving it.

How far are your cob led lights from the tops ?
Looks like you been overfeeding and your lights are burning aswell. Underneath the parts were the light isnt hitting directly they look a bit better, burnt edges but not as completely fried as the uper parts.
Let us know what the actual lights are aswell please.

also what do you mean “ soft water “. ?

Terra aquatica product list looks like a knock off of GH products.

True Maxibloom / Maxigrow powdered nutes are by far the easiest 2 part hydro line.

Seen plenty of growers comment on issues using Aqua Flakes too.



I run tap water at 5.85 ph - that’s it.
