Hey RIU. So I just received my Cal Mag and I have a couple of questions about using it. Do I use it alone? Or do I mix it with my bloom nuts? How many times do I use it? Any help or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

alright... first off are you using RO water? If you are using RO water you will use 1 tsp per gallon every single time you water and feed. Also what are you growing in? soil? hydro? You can mix it with your nutes no problem.

If you are using tap water you shouldn't need cal mag since tap water contains it.

I'm using tap water ran through a Brita filter. I'm growing in some Just Natural Organic soil. So I can mix it with my mites? So I mix my nutes then throw 1 tsp in the nuts mix?

My plants lower leaves are starting to get spots, yellowing, and eventually dying off. I don't know what's wrong with it but a friend told me cal mag would fix my problems.

Usually in soil you really don't need Cal Mag until after the 4th week, and then only add it to your watering schedule once a week. In hydro, you need it from the beginning.
Oh, also you don't really need the Brita filter unless you are using well water. The only reason I can think about using it would be to eliminate chlorine to help keep your micro-organisms stay alive, but if you simply let your water sit overnight before using it, all the chlorine will have evaporated.
Good luck

I'm about 3 weeks into flowering and my plants have some sort of deficiency. I just don't know what it is.

The Brita filter actually lowers the ph in my water. It's 8.0 out of the tap and it's around 6.4 after it's ran through the Brita filter, so I haven't had to use any chemicals to regulate my ph

1 tsp per gallon of water... My girls are in 5 gal bags... They take a perfect 1 gallon per watering... Yes mix it in with your nutes
