The Carr Fire is too far north, it is the Mendocino Complex fire that is getting everything that didn't burn last year. It started out on highway 20 in Potter Valley and began to move East from there. I may be mistaken but I believe two fires merged, the Ranch Fire and River Fire. News outlets are now reporting that it is officially the largest in state history at 283,000+ acres surpassing the Rim Fire (2013) which was a mere 250,000 acres.
The smoke where we are at has been noxious. Feguson Fire, Carr fire, Mendo Complex is all blowing here and hanging out choking us for weeks.
Stay safe out there folks.
