California Border

Does anybody know what the security is like at the California border? Do they check your car across the entire border? How easy would it be to take some marijuana across?

Taking it into Mexico is probably safe - trying to bring some back to the US would be incredibly stupid.

well i mean taking it into california from another state like nevada. can you just drive across or are there routine stops?

youre good to go..just dont speed, and if you see a sign that says "drug checkpoint 1 mile ahead" just keep driving...its BS

coming from Nevada to California there is a border check point and they stop random cars here an there. They are looking for weighted down cars and trucks, lots of bags and not a lot of people stuff like that. Just don't drive stoned Cali Hwy Patrol is good at spotting stoners.

the stop going to cali from nevada is an agricultural checkpoint...they just ask you if you have any produce..its nothing to worry about..half the time they just wave you by. I think it closes around 7 too.

I was going to say about the same thing.

Cali to Oregon. Nothing.
Cali to Arizona. Nothing.
But when traveling into California from Nevada there is a check-point thing. I did a lot of vacationing there as a kid and I'd say during the summer time we'd get stopped maybe 50% of the time. And as said above they just ask if you have some produce and wave you through.

I wouldn't mess with the Mexican boarder.
