if i get a medical marijuana card could i assign a minor (17 yo) as my primary care giver?? thus allowing him to grow pot for me

A 17 year old in california with a valid Ca ID can get there own card with consent.So I am guessing you could

If something goes wrong, I would think they would probably try to charge you with "contributing to the delinquency of a minor"....just my 2 cents

but isnt there some type of official process to establish a primary care giver

No I read the paper when I got my new card on the 6th or this month.Its just a paper
