California script from primary care dr renewal?

I have the real California script off California's website and my primary care dr. filled it out for me last year. Does anyone know if I have to renew this yearly like the cards? There is no expiration date on it written and nothing that states a time. I can get my dr to sign a new one and might just to be safe as I do have a small outdoor grow. Any thoughts/info?

Many thanks!!

Your recommendation must be verifiable, that's all. If your dr. will still verify that you are a current patient, then you're good to go. The expiration date is solely to get you to see the dr. regularly, so they can say that you are a current patient of theirs.

I don't care for being in a County Health database so I made the decision to see a Medical Marijuana specialist instead of my Pain Control specialist. The reason is the one I chose (and many of the Marijuana specialists), have an online database that dispensaries or law enforcement can sign into to check your status. That keeps you out of the County/State database but provides for 24/7 verification.

Just another option.

My lawyer specifically advised me against getting a state or county issued card. While it may or may not protect you from local law enforcement, I could definitely see the federal government trying to subpoena those lists and targeting people who attempted to comply with local law. They did it in mendo with the people who cooperated with the local sheriff in the zip tie program. They are doing it in the central valley right now. That could happen anywhere.

Thank you for confirming that. I was thinking along those lines. It's really frustrating to see people trying so hard to comply with local law and having their lives ruined for it.

Yep. If there is one thing the federal government has proven, it's that they have no problem exploiting people's efforts to be in compliance with the law.

I'll be honest I don't follow all the crap that goes on with busts and law changes. What's going on in the valley?

In Merced they are starting to write collective growers the same letters they are writing the dispensary landlords all across the state. Basically they are telling people pull up your plants our face 40 years in prison + we'll take your property.

That's pretty close to home, So far I've had it pretty good in here in San Joaquin County. Sure there aren't a lot of collectives around but there aren't a bunch of county laws restricting my plant count or canopy space.

You'd be surprised. There many not be dispensaries out there, but there are a ton of large collective grows out there. A lot of those good ol' boy cowboy farmer types are now growing pretty decent sized outdoor crops on their farmland. It's mostly shit bud, but there is a lot of it.

I'm not surprised at all, this is one of the last counties that doesn't have a bunch of growing laws. When the police came by my house I had 99 (neighbors watched me bring 20 bags of 707 in my garage and called), they didn't even count just asked if it was 99 or less and if I had a sub-panel permit for the MLC-8.

That's awesome! My real doctor refuses to give me a mmj rec, but does know about my use and doesn't disagree with it. Kaiser just disagrees with it.

I dont really ask him for shit though...I kind of embarrassed myself when I tried to convince him I was low testosterone so I can get some prescription roids.

I'll probably have him write me the script again just to be covered. Rather pay him the $20 co-pay and be as legit as possible then have to deal with the bullshit.

Everywhere you look the fricken laws are different, this shit is annoying.

So, what's being said here, is that all this advertising about renewing your script every year is just a ploy to get mas dinero????

No, it's not to get your money. A doctor wants to see you annually so they can say that you are their current patient. Your recommendation must be verifiable by the doctor, so for them to do that, your recommendation must be current. That's why recommendations are usually for 1 year.

What shitty neighbors. I have neighbors like that as well.
