Calling all ppl of the Oregonian persuasion..

So...some of my friends are moving to Corvallis very soon (like a month from now) and while I can't afford to make a huge move yet, I've wanted to move west for a really long time and could probably do so within a year (trying to get a retail pharmacy job to up my $$). Only problem is...I've been around, but never anywhere in the northwest, even to visit. I've glanced at Oregon State's website, though, and I could easily enroll in a graduate program and actually build on my bachelors instead of letting it gather dust wherever the hell it's buried in my room. I guess I'm primarily curious about the medical use scene there, and just what it's like in general (and what Oregon State's like). I know words can't do justice to actually visiting, but hey, I figure it can't hurt to ask, right?

honestly i just moved to central oregon from s.cali and corvallis is differnt from where im at but i think you would enjoy the medical stuff in cali i mean they got disp's on like every block there laws with it compared to oregon kill it.. oregon u get 6mature 18seedlings under 1ft tall 1ft wide.. anything over is considered a mature.. cali u grow alot more and depending on where your at down there you wouldnt have to worry even if the cops did establish your grow.. and dont know if you would b interested in dealing to clubs.. a homie of mind sold pounds to the club for $4500 a pop so i mean theres just alot more there for you to do or interact with i mean fuck they just or are opening clubs n cali that stay open 24/7 u use ur card to get in and its like a soda machine full of pot.. put in ur money, pick your kush of choice, grab and on ur way.. i mean thats fuckin nuts they have shit like this but oregon from what i can tell u is way more fuckin laid back with it.. theres no medical clubs or disp's.. i believe they just opened a place where u can go and medicate and leave but no where in oregon u can purchases it yet... they do hold meetings everymonth in certain locations where u can get clones and etcc. but you still cant purcshase any weed so depending on what your situation is idnt know but i can tell ya you cant go wrong in so.cal

to get ur card in oregon it cost me about 300 totalal and u gotta provide medical records, get a docs recomendation.
in ca i u go to an office pay 150 talk to the doc for 5min and ur a happy cardholder walkin out the door..

I live in corvallis sir. It's got more cops per cap. Then anywhere else but I live on the north end so its not bad at all I hardly see them but the south end do not move there. Enless u like running a chance of being robbed. But in general corvallis ain't bad I'm orginaly from Portland or. Well banks but no. One knows where that is I've heard good things about Eugene and being pot friendly they have a norm office there to. And as long as u don't make it clear you grow it good. Corvallis has a great hydro store anything u want they have it or can get it. Any other questions pm me

Geez - I gotta look into that area. Oregon State looks pretty sweet, too - at a glance, anyway, it seems like the perfect school for my major to go for something post-grad (and it wouldn't be too bad living on a stipend if it's possible, I have to admit I'd likely just grow for myself after getting a card - keep it isolated to a small indoor cab w/ an HPS or maybe a metal halide conversion eventually. Anything in excess of what I need I'd like to take around, though - possibly become a caregiver for a couple of people (I've heard from my friends that it's set up more like a "service" - there's no charge allowed per mass, just a service fee for growing the patient's supply - take that w/ a grain of salt though I don't claim to know the detailed workings). If I end up networking at all it'd definitely be more about meeting ppl than else.

i live in portland and ive never heard of this place..but yeah ive heard you need a tleast 2 doctors vissits within the last year for the same problm and you get your card..portlands dope though lots of grow shops and plenty of good herb..also lots of medical growers

These guys that talk big shit about cali.Don't live in Oregon every decent size town has a smoke shop.Here we simply call the money a donation.They copy your card or papers.Throw out 2 or 3 to choose from prices range from 30 to 40 an 1/8 depending on quality.But you can bet you ass come november.It's on craigs list and paper $150 donation per ounce.Plus were getting ready to get that law passed.And those activist are pushing legal up here just like cali coming up.But if you want a warm nice place to grow for just yourself.Oregon has no state tax.The south west is nice.And police don't bother patients.Peace Oregon024

So honestly what is the best place to live in Oregon? And whats with the whole 6 mature thing I used to see people growing tons of trees that they said they were in oregon here on this forum.. where are the loop-holes in these here laws on cultivation up there?

Oregon has the BEST medical program in my opinion...If you want to buy your weed, you can do it anywhere. If you obtain from the black market, your covered. The clubs in cali are a rip off. If you have a lot of money it's convenient, but you can grow at home for very little money and you KNOW WHAT"S IN AND ON IT!

Any plant over 12" is considered mature...6 18" scrogs or 6 cannabis plants the size of california redwoods in your back yard...6 plants...+18 under 12"...

OH, and don't forget the 24 ounces of usable marijuana I store legally, either.

Oregon rocks. I live in Portland, north of Corvallis. Portland is the best. 75 miles from the coast (fucking awesome) and 75 miles from Mt Hood (fucking awesome as well). Downtown rocks, lots of good beer too.

Getting the card is simple. Check out the qualifying conditions, document it with your doctor (need 2 instances within the last 3 years), send those records the the THCF, see the doctor, pay $150, then go to DHS and pay another $100 ($20 if on food stamps) and boom, legal.

I moved to Oregon to support my fiance while she gets here PsyD and coming here was the best thing that ever happened to me.
