Good info guys im coming to the end of my flowering in a few weeks. But definitely will look into this. Always something new to learn and a great way to grow. Lol

I have used Mother Earth, Canna, Botanicare, and Complete........all of them are buffered and I use them right out of the bag.
I wet the coco with a light nute solution of MaxiBloom before I plant.
That's what I've been doing for years. I use the bricked Botanicare and just rehydrate with a mild nutrient solution that includes calcium nitrate and plant straight into that. No rinsing or anything. I'm pretty sure that Botanicare and Mother Earth are the same coco as they are both owned by the same company. Both are good coco and ready to use straight from the bag or rehydrated brick.

I was having problems with my nutes and cal/mag in particular. I know it isn't rocket science, but I was messing something up.
I went to a one part nutrient and things improved quit a bit.

I use RO water.

This is what's in it. dyna gro fp 9-3-6. See how much cal and mag it has? That's how much my coco likes, not the "extra" I was giving with gh nutes I didn't understand. Maybe you can learn from my dumb.

I add 50 ish ppm of armor Si 0-0-4 ( which is silica and K. I end up with a 3-1-3 npk ratio basically.
Water to 20% runoff when you water. Droopy plants are usually too wet or have root problems in my limited experience.

I'm feeding 4x a day atm about 300ml a feed, just enough to get the right runoff. When my plant was smaller I only fed it once a day, sometimes I didn't need to feed it because it was still very wet when my temps were down.

My coco is brick hydro crunch from amazon, I washed it and buffered with cal/mag and then let it sit in 200ppm nutes solution for a few days.

I'm trying this next. https://scienceinhydroponics.com/2017/04/using-coco-coir-in-hydroponics.html

"On a non-organic crop, using water soluble fertilizers we recommend this solution to buffer coco while expanding it: Mix 1 Kg Calcium Nitrate (CaNO3) + 0,3 Kg Magnesium Sulphate (MgSO4) or Magnesium Nitrate (MgNO3) per 1000 Liters irrigation water."

Adding calmag to coco after the fact doesn't do much good. Concentrations high enough to properly strip out sodium and potassium are probably high enough to monkey fuck plants.
