Can a 630 watt CMH match a 1000 watt HPS?

This is a DE 750W HPS High frequency Ballast/Fixture, I really like these especially the parabolic reflector hood, I would like to see a side by side comparison with one of these DE 750W HPS Against a DE 630W CMH/LEC That would be great because I really like them both or a mix of both to get the best of both worlds but...This DE 750W HPS wouldn't stand a chance against the DE 1000W CMH/LEC And neither would the DE 1000W/1150W HPS in my opinion, For quality and less heat LEC is the future!

I have only just got the Fixtures so it is literally Brand new, The DE 630W Light fixtures I have they have been doing really well in a 4' x 4' They are Amazing so I can only imagine what the DE 1000W Light fixture will do in a 5' x 5', Let me know if you would like to try any out I will be happy to sell you as many as you need,

how much would a 630 run me full set up bulbs ballast and reflector or if you have the all in ones one of them

If you could pop over to my Scrogline Facebook and Inbox me I can give you full prices and discount for members, I have attached the fixture for you to look at, the reflector hood adjusts inwards and outwards for a deep coverage or a wide converge to suit the user Also all the light fixtures come with the outer glass protection jacket on the bulb but this can be took off by the user (optional), you can find me on google but I cant put a link up on here it will not let me.

So much misinformation in this thread. Its about efficiency and photons per watt a 630 cmh is 2 315 bulbs in the same hood. The 315 cmh has a much higher efficiency than de hps. The more efficient the more photons are being produced and the less heat there is.

315 cmh is about 10% more efficient than a de hps. De's are 40% efficient. The 315 cmh is producing more photons per watt than the de.

The Philips 315W Bulb it the most efficient with the highest output I would agree that, But taking cost into consideration for the right 315W LEC/CMH Light fixture with the Philips bulb lets say from ''Sunlight Supply'', AGAINST the DE 630W LEC/CMH,

The cost of two 315W LEC/CMH Fixtures From Sunlight supply would cost you around $1,200,

The cost of a DE 630W LEC/CMH Fixture would cost you between $550 to $600,

They both give off less heat than a HPS and the output and spectrum between two Philips bulbs against a DE 630W Bulb are not a million miles apart, Some people would put 2 x Sunlight Supply 315w fixtures in a 3' x 6', and some people would put 2 x DE 630W in a 4' x 8', What's more efficient for cost per yield? I think you would yield a lot more with two DE 630W LEC Fixtures in a 4' x 8' for the same investment as two 315W Sunlight supply Fixtures in a 3' x 6'.

I think the DE LEC/CMH are more efficient on cost because two DE 1000W LEC/CMH Fixtures are the same price or maybe just a little bit more as two 315W Sunlight supply fixtures, And what is going to yield more two 315w fixtures from sunlight supply in a 3' x 6' or two DE 1000W Fixtures in a 5' x 10'. Its got to be a no brainer!

From what I've heard they have a major drawback which is that they are very delicate. Everything about else about them is fantastic.

So I should be using my apartments 1500w baseboard heater and run leds rather than my 400w hps in my tent? Yeah that 30% loss in efficiency is only like $5-10 amonth if that off the electric bill, lol.

I don't have to run a heater in my room and I get over a qp a month with minimal effort so yeah I'm saving money by using HID during the mild winters here in PNW.

The 1000w CMH Bulb is unstable at the moment the bulb could last 6 months it could last a year it’s still early days yet for the Bulb but the 1000w ballast is fine, also it will run pretty much any HPS, MH, CMH Bulb from 600w to 1000w,

One thing I will say is they are really bright you will have to ware protective eye ware with these lights they are that bright, very intense! And a full spectrum CRI of 96.

I have the dimmable 1000w CMH fixtures with remote control we are testing, they are fine up to now no failures,
