Can a Beginner be Successful

i myself am an intermediate with basic experience and I wonder if it’s worth it, or if it would be easier to source meds elsewhere.

New to RIU but nothing beats homegrown meds.
Keeping grows simple to start .... good bagged mediums ( biobiz / FFOF / roots organic )

the way i look at it is by buying cannabis your just basically paying someone to grow the plant for you. why pay someone to grow a plant for you when you can grow it yourself? unless you need a specific thc/cbd level for w.e. conditions you got then it really isn't worth it imo. even so growing is fun to me i don't even smoke buds that much anymore yet i still grow. over time you basically will get better. if you dont get better with each grow then something is wrong. to me that means your not pushing yourself enough yet expecting a miracle. can't half ass your work and expect to get paid big bucks.

That's right, growing is fun and if it's fun it's worth it. I'd say I'm intermediate too, and some beginners here kick ass imo. For those who already know how to garden it should be easy. For those who don't, they can read here before you start. It's so much easier nowadays. Read some pinned threads here. Sure there's some gotchas, but not really that many. The basic things needed are only a strong light, good genetic seeds, proper temps, soil and water. And patience.

If you buy meds than yes its worth it to grow them and yes you can have success if you have the ability to follow a recipe.

I’m a medical patient in Canada and have been growing for almost 3 years. Any flower I’ve grown in the last year is far superior to any I’ve found from licenced producers or the black market. Plus I know exactly what isn’t in it.
It took me almost 2 years to become self sufficient but once you do you’ll save a lot of money.
Can you succeed on your first run? Absolutely, I didn’t but most do I’d say. Eventually there will be an issue but you’ll get through it. One time I felt like packing it in after dealing with PM but I’m sure glad I didn’t.

I'm about 4 weeks from seed on my first grow. It cost more than I expected to get setup in a 4x4 tent but I feel like I've got it dialed in now. Whether or not I break even, lose, or win as far as the money part of it goes is irrelevant anymore. This is a great hobby and worth every minute for me. It's been really rewarding to see a positive reaction from the plants as I've stumbled through figuring out what works in my specific setup. I'm doing a RDWC run and it's a been a blast so far.

yea man the setup cost is a bitch but just like anything else gotta start somewhere. im still investing on better equipment. the biggest invest is the most priceless of them all though; time. can never replace the time you invest into your grows and it eventually shows. not just with maintenance but knowledge as well. with money investments that is easy you can always make more money but you can't get back the time you invest. i easily spend about 30mins-1hour a day in my garden outside and in just on 5 plants alone. checking um, watering, mixing nutes, planning wtf i need to do for tomorrow, checking weather updates for my outdoor grow, etc.. i enjoy every minute of it tbh used to hate going outside just sat inside all day playing video games now i rarely play and just watch videos of growing or doing research on how i can better my grows get bigger buds with the limitations i have due to lower end equipment or lack of equipment

Depends on what you consider successful lol

Getting plants to harvest? yes i think most can achieve that
Growing fire that can be used as medicine to save a life? No, i don't think many beginners are doing that

This is my first grow, i spent alot of time researching and reading and watching youtube before i ever even started. I Probably do even more reading and research since lol.

Yes i am very pleased with how my plants have turned out on the FIRST run, very proud of myself for actually growing them, but lets not get it twisted, if we put my pretty looking NEWBIE plants in front of a guy thats been growing medical PRIMO for a while, hes probably going to laugh and tear my shit apart lol

So yes, i do think beginners can be successful, they just gotta lower expectations and realize the different levels of success lol

this game has many it seems

Heres a pic from my first grow....they are currently day 37 of flower.
4 plants in a 4x4 tent under 600w hps

in a sense i think they can do it if dealing with severe depression and maybe.. PTSD. depression is no joke many people commit suicide just due to it. especially in the cold hearted world we live in shit can be rough on some people while others can tolerate the bullshit more.

im sure tolerance level plays a key role as well that is why you hear a lot of people taking intentional breaks to drop their tolerance so they get a better high.
