The perkiness means that the plant is trying to protect itself from losing too much water. It points up as to hide the surface of the leaves from light intensity. It not a good or a bad thing, it's just the plant telling you that its moving water fast.
This has nothing to do with how much water in the pot. It's more something to do with the combination of humidity and temperature and light intensity. This can be resolve by increasing your humidity....slowing down the movement of water and the leaves would go back to its horizontal position.
