Can anybody tell me what’s up with this plant ?

So I know when I started this under the T5 the first two weeks, I believe I overwatered and possible didn’t use the nutrients correct but I stunted its growth for sure. Also I believe I have it all set now.. I recently moved it under my 1000 watt HPS maybe 5 days ago and it literally Atleast doubled in size and starting growing normal with 5 fingers on each leaf and looking perfect. Compared to under the T5, where as the leafs were twisting and growing deformed with only 3 fingers. But anyway can anybody telll me what’s up with this plant ?? It started growing massive leafs while staying super short, literally. And I felt like the new growth was being suffocated so I trimmed about 6-8 Leafs off. And it also looks like the plant topped itself ????? And it looks like it’s only growing one leaf up the middle ? Is that what’s going on, it topped itself, somehow ?

Also. When should I top the new growths set of leafs ? After 3 nodes?

The light intensity is prob keeping plant short, there’s nothing wrong with this, comparing it to a stretchy ass plant. I wouldn’t be taking leaves off either, and the leaves won’t suffocate each other either. How close is the light to the plant ? What’s temps saying? It’s quite a bit of stress moving it from a T5 to 1000 W HPS. It won’t need any nutes, just plain water. Let it grow. I FIM which is kinda similar to topping at the 5th node, normally about 5-6 inches tall by then. I’d concentrate getting the plant healthy before enduring it to any more stress.

12-15” away at the moment. Doesn’t seem to be burning the leaves. But I also keep a fan on it plus I have a inline fan sucking through the hood. Also have 2x 8” ac infinity inline but I really bought those for when I fill the room with 12 and use the other lights

Temps are 75-85. Depends on outside temp/time of day/ or what equipment I run to keep temp lower but I don’t let it go over 85
