Can anyone help with this deficiency?

image.jpg image.jpg The plant is mephisto genetics sour crack six weeks old tomorrow. I'm growing in a 50/50 mix of FFOF and Happy Frog soil. The nutrients I use are general organics I have the full line up. I just started feeding at full strength about two days ago just incase it was a deficiency and it didn't seem to help any. The problem just showed up about a week ago. I water about once every two days and use about a half gallon or less depending on how dry the soil is. I grow with led and the schedule is 20/4. I was leaning toward sulfur because it seems to be the top fan leaves that are the ones most affected. The leaves are just turning a pale/lime green color. I stopped checking the ph of my water and run off because everything I read says when growing organic not to check ph as it doesn't matter. The temps are around 75-80 and the humidity is about 40-50 depending on the time of day and the weather outside. Any help is appreciated I really do think it's just this soil problems keep popping up since I started with fox farm soil. I saw some fungus gnats the other day so that also could be the problem. Since then I have added diatomaceous earth around the pots and on top of the soil. I haven't seen any since I added the diatomaceous earth. Any help is appreciated

I guess it could be zinc deficiency but how do you clear that up other than adjusting ph? Usually root problems or ph cause a zinc deffiency right? I know my ph isn't to high if anything it's acidic which would mean that the zinc should be available. Maybee the heat would trigger it?

I believe that lineup has a product called bioweed. Put a teaspoon in a quart of water, if you want add a little fish as well....may help it stick better....and spray it all over the plants right at lights out. Don't spray on a turned on light it will explode.

This will cover all your bases and give your plant a little boost. Putting a drop of an unconcentrated dish detergent could act as a wetting agent as well......Dr bronners, aloe or yucca would be optimal.

Also add some fresh compost to the top of your soil and give it a nice boost in the panties as well. Worm castings preferred. Fox farms seems to love the assistance.
Good Luck!

That probably would work I just have to decide if it's worth the risk to foliar during mid flower. This strain is known to have super dense buds so I don't want to risk bud rot. I'll definitely add some compost to the top though thanks for the help

You can be very strict in your foliars. Choose your biggest greenest leaves and very discreetly cover the bottom with the solution.

I was gifted the GO box and ran a grow with it once. The BIOMARINE And bioweed were really good products.
The cal mag is micron filtered limestone so be careful with how often and what dose you add that. It can build up in soil and last years.

You could easily make a compost tea with the weed and marine and a teaspoon of molasses. That should straighten things out.

it's funny you say that because I'm starting to think the buildup of calcium is blocking the nutrient it's deficient in. I use the calmg every other watering. I'm gonna skip a few with that. And I do love the bio marine I'm going to stop that soon though because I don't want my buds smelling like fish that shit stinks lol

It does stink. The BIOMARINE is the only product I bought individually it's so good in compost teas. The smell has totally disappeared by the end of the brew because the microbes have entirely devoured it.

If I were you I would bypass the medium and go straight for the stoma to eliminate deficiency in flower it will only get exponentially worse as they use all the stored energy in their leaves. You need to displace the usage somehow.

Like I said worm castings will fix any pH problem. You could always use a handheld squirt bottle like the size of a breath spray that way you can be totally sure where it goes. I wouldn't worry about it though. I've foliared kelp when there was NO problem 3 weeks in. Never had a bud taste like sushi.

Neem could also be a good source of NPK, calcium, mag, sulfur a million other micros, antifungal and pesticide properties. Will not burn. Will not change flavor. Guaranteed.

Thanks I just foliared with some bioweed and put a teaspoon of Epsom salt per gallon of water then put it in a spray bottle. I sprayed the tops and bottoms of the biggest fan leaves. I think it's sulfur deficiency because it's starting from the bottom of the leaves and going upward we will see if this helps. Thanks again for the advice

Careful with Epsom. You can over do it easily. Kelp has both sulfur and magnesium in it which is what Epsom is. Should be fine now. I would not repeatedly use the salts.

Foliars can fix deficiency in a matter of hours. What's yellow will stay yellow but the plant should become more rigid and show some activity in the next couple days.

I would repeat process with bioweed for the next couple days at lights out. Don't forget to add some kind of surfactant so it will stick to the bottom of the leaves. If it's turning into droplets when it hits the leaf your only getting a fraction of its uses you want it to create a thin layer of moisture coating the bottom of the leaf you'll see it when it happens.

Good luck.
