it will be my first time growing

Looking for stealth, something small and fairly quick and just something decent to smoke.

Doesnt matter if it grows one ounce or like millions lol
just a grow that will be experience for my first time

you might look at an autoflower for the first time so you dont have to mess with it much ad work yourself up to a feminized strain of Super Silver Haze or Acap. Gold.

So i should be looking at auto flowers ? ok and what about the size of the setup will it need just as much lights and other stuff as a normal non-auto,
i was active here quite a while ago for a week straight reading up on everything and i had everything written down and stuff that i needed and now i have lost it and cant remember a thing.

Im basicaly starting everything from scratch, even how to set it up

take some bag seed and get a practice round in. even if you only germinate and take thru to a young veg to be sure your setup is well, and you have control over the things you need control over.

no use killing good pot if something is messed up.

lowryder #2, the simplest plant a noobie could grow. its auto flowering so you dont have to determine when you want to flower it, you dont have to worry about timers or light leaks. you dont have to worry about your plants getting too big therefore you wont need to lst, top, fim, or supercrop. they're quite durable plants too and they can result in some very decent herb in the end.

Northern Lights, hands down. Great yields, great resiliency, and just overall great buddha!

Also, Northern Lights is an indica dominant strain so it will stay relatively small, just remember that a plant usually doubles in size once flowered. (Example: A plant flowered at 12 inches will end up being anywhere from 20-30 inches)

Don't use bag seed. It doesn't have a soul so use good genetics. What is 40 bucks to you? Less than an eighth at street price, that's what.

Autoflower isn't a bad idea. Northern Lights isn't a bad idea, but what good strains are local to you? Any good breeders? Near any big cities known for it's cannabis culture? That's where your answers are. It would be easiest to keep to the local scene, but if you want to venture online and look at dutch seeds, they have the best descriptions, and best genetics, usually. I have some LA genetics that blow most of Amsterdam out of the water, but they have a huge quantity of quality genetics, while LA just has a few mentionable's.

I havent read any of the posts, but they are all trash unless they say.. "grow bag seed first"! Find the best weed you can find containing seeds and use those.
You can grow them as big or as small as you would like. Obviously your not too interested because you have not done any research.
Put that shit in a mix of 2 bags miracle grow sphagnum peat moss to one bag of miracle grow perlite.. and use General Hydroponics 3 part nutrients.. They are cheap and work great, also with helping to teach you how to use nutrients in the first place. The general hydro water ph test kit for $20 is a good starter for basics. Last get the marijuana grow bible, it has some errors but generally good info. If you have any more questions PM me.

I will back you up on him having to do some serious research. But I have seen a few first-time fantastic grows turn out with some very dank, but very fluffy weed from good genetics. But chronic will always be chronic, no matter how you grow it. If you use a good strain, and know how it will turn out from other grow reports, than you have a goal. If by the end your plants were too tall, or too short, or too fluffy, or whatever, you know where you need work. Plus, you now have some half-decent smoke, rather than a bag of skuff to turn into hash.

I only say this because I started with bag seed.

His goal is to learn, not have a seed that grows its self. He needs to go through about 5+ fully matured plants under his belt before all that payin $50 for seed!

Also kid if you want to learn indoors use cfl bulbs.. 3x 23watt bulbs per plant.. you can go in the DIY section to see how to build a grow tent.

This is true, and I'm not going to argue any more than this, these are my humble suggestions. But if he can get good seeds, why wouldn't he want to get rewarded with good weed? I'm not saying he will, I'm saying if he does a good job, and puts together a better grow situation, he can get something to be proud of. And if it isn't something to be proud of, and it was good genetics, that knows that he fucked up, lol.

But you are right, spending good money on seeds would be ridiculous. He should start with 2 clones if he can get them cheap, or bag seed from excellent nugs only. If you are legal and in a legal area and can find a bag of quality seeds for 20 bucks that would be worth it I suppose. I feel that a good initial investment is a serious drive to research and succeed.

Any strain is good as long as it's suitable for your grow space and you don't kill it with kindness (a.k.a. overwatering and/or too many nutes). They call it weed for a reason.

You could get Nirvana's Indoor Mix for around $26 from the attitude. Or pick up a 10 pack of regular AK-48 seeds. They're very forgiving for new growers and can be grown rather small. I started with bag seed and wasn't disappointed, but getting getter genetics from the start might make life easier for you.

Remember, this is just one guys opinion. Good luck!

I would second the bagseed suggestion. The first grow is a series of exercises and failures. You will get your germination method down, learn to not kill your seedlings, how long to veg, learn to separate out the males, what to expect in flower, how to feed and water, how to optimize your conditions and when to harvest, how to cure...all without feeling guilty about spending money and waiting for seeds to ship. You can get that going today and start researching which genetics you want for the next round and order a few weeks prior to your first harvest.

Pick something from Nirvana seeds so that you can save money, and its stealth enough. It will save you waiting around for weed with seeds in it.
Northern Lights and PPP are good.

ak47 is supposd to b easy to grow and it is very potent. You might practice germinating some bagseeds just so you get the hang of it and you can trash them or experiment more with them. You could look into autoflowers but you don't have to go that route, Northern lights is said to be a low odor strain that will be more stealthy and also easy to grow.

I bought the entire set up and grew one bag seed to about 4-5". I've now got the seeds I ordered and am going to clean my system out and start over. I'm going to leave my first plant in there and it will either die or not. I have learned invaluable things from growing it. I now can somewhat read my plant enough to feel confident that I won't kill my expensive seeds. Good luck.
