Ready to start making some live rosin on the next harvest but I have no idea who makes a good press without spending $3k. I was looking at the nugsmasher og but I read some questionable reviews. Any recommendations?
I think I'm pulling the trigger on this one:Second Dab Press - I bought one and loaned it out to a friend, he's having great success.
Maybe I’m missing something hereI think I'm pulling the trigger on this one:
12 ton 1200w. Gotta add on the pump for $130 but that's still considerably cheaper than the nug smasher brand. Thanks for the recommendation. Stoked to process my first batch of hash rosinDABPRESS Commercial Rosin Press 12 Ton - 4x7
Dabpress Commercial Hydraulic Cylinder Rosin Press. 12 Ton Pressure, Dual 4x7" Anodized Heated Plates, 1,200 Watts, 4pc Rod Heaters. Quick Heating and Handles a Large Number of Materials. It Requires A Hydraulic Pump to start working.dabpress.com
I saw that 1200 watts and I was like is it a vape tooAgree, so does 12 tons. I honestly think you’d be more than satisfied with the 6 ton. It does a great job I’ve made up to 12g squishes with ease. I personally would save the additional 3 hund for other equipment . I actually prefer the fixed jack/pump than the remote I think. Seems like a lot more space needed to use and something else to replace when/ if anything ever goes wrong with the other jack it’s just a cheap bottle jack I can pick up anywhere
Personally love my Nugsmasher OG.I think I'm pulling the trigger on this one:

I'm glad I asked. This is all new to me. I definitely don't want to buy more than I need. I'll have to consider the smaller units. I'm assuming increased pressure just means larger plates to process larger quantities at the same time which I really don't need. The 1200w is a bit of a mystery. I see the nugsmasher og operates at 160w/plate with 12 tons of pressure. That's a huge difference that doesn't make much sense. I'm emailing the company to see what they have to say about the variation and why 1200w would perform better than 320w.Maybe I’m missing something here
But 1200 watts seems excessive
I love lifetime warranties. I had a brother that sold cars for years and every time I've ever mentioned an extended warranty on anything he gives me shit. Dude always says if you buy a quality product that has a low failure rate what do you need an extended warranty for? Warranties do make me feel warm and fuzzy inside thoughPersonally love my Nugsmasher OG.
They also have a nice upgrade program and lifetime warranty.
Slightly off topic but I have to mention it. I was making dry ice hash last night with a 160 micron bubble bag dude brand bag off amazon. I looked at my 59g pile of beautiful blonde hash and I saw strands of what appeared to be hair. I don't have pets. I pulled one of the strands and checked it out under my 40x scope. Fucking nylon fibers are coming out of the bag from the seams. 59g of hash ruined.Second Dab Press - I bought one and loaned it out to a friend, he's having great success.
I really appreciate the insight. It's sounding like the 6 ton model would work for my needs. In comparing both units it looks like the 6 ton just has smaller plates and doesn't look as glossy. It also doesn't have the option for a separate pump w/pressure gauge, but I wonder if that's even necessary? You should absolutely buy what you want but the 10ton is the same exact plate size and wattage as the 6ton , all your gaining is 4tons of pressure but having to kick up another buck and a half for pump.
Driptec is the ability to lay it down on legs guess what the 6 has them too but for some reason they don’t give them that title
