I went out to a local cow field and all I found was alot of death caps and this single cap that looks very similar to the shrooms that grow around here in east florida because ive found tons of shrooms that look similar to these at a cow field about.20 mins from this cow field. It did turn bluish when I picked it at the stem and it looks like it could be im just trying to confirm it or get some information on it.20140707_164128.jpg

most mushrooms are either constitutionaly inedible or taste bad. A relative few are psycho active, some will make you sick. A relative few will kill you. The ones that kill offer rather unpleasant deaths.

consider, if mushrooms have the sorts of chemicals in their tiny arsenals that will produce euphoria and transport you to wild and unknown places, what sort of horror could they also induce?

know what you are doing before you forage unless you are simply sight seeing (a recommended (hobby)

Definitely not cubensis. Possibly another hallucinogenic type but definitely not cubes.

looks like it's okay... but see all this trouble, is it worth it for one little shroom? and still from the wild even knowing 100% that it's the right thing it still feels weird eating them wild imo... just grow them yourself. and like I said it looks okay to me, but I'm not an ID expert :eyesmoke:

in the continental us, to my knowlege, any mushroom that bruises blue and has a purple spore print is safe and psychoactive

you are best off taking note of the place you found them and waiting for another flush. Examine where it grows, take pictures BEFORE you pick it, take another print to be sure. Try to take into account the entire life cycle before it opens, how they are spaced and then do a proper print

I've never tried shooms, but I don't care either way. For me it is just personal preference. But from an honest non biast stand point I would not eat it. If you choose to eat it regardless of others advice cut off a small piece like half a cm big and hold it under your tongue for a couple minutes and then eat it, wait a couple of hours and assess how you feel if there is any discomfort big or small bag the sh room and go to the clinic. If nothing happens and you feel fine take a small but slightly bigger piece and repeat the process if nothing still then you should be good to go.

Don't ever just start Munching wild shroooms please.. think about your friends and family. At least if nothing at all educate your self. Buy a book on wild mushrooms and study the shit out of it before you start harvesting things don't be a stupid dunce.
