Lady Bug Larvae. Make friends with this little fella, they are VERY beneficial. Most people believe Lady Bugs can be used for Aphid population control, when in reality they are notorious for getting up and flying away without doing much of anything. The Larvae and Beetle share identical diets; however since the Larvae cannot fly it is forced to eat what is within it's grasp. Look for Lady Bug and Lace Wing Larvae both are perfectly harmless to your plants, and have a huge appetite for Aphids. Praying Mantis hatchlings work well to, except that they eat whatever is next to them, including other Mantis hatchlings.
