Can cannabis kill your dog?

according to the national center for biotech. information, the LD for dogs is above 3g/kg of THC--not of herb material. So, yes, a small dog eating a qp of 18%+ bud, may actually die. mostly, though, they just get kinda sick, woozy, and hallucinate a bit. by and large, though, most animals recover within 72hrs of ingestion.

Mj / Canna legislation is well under way, many pro or right wing sensationalist news (FOX,Murdoch etc etc) are clinging to the 'fear' concept in order to sell news, do they want canna legal, no way it upsets the dividends from the greedy breweries for one example ..even the highly profitable drug industries are due to suffer, expect a backlash, now......................... where the fuck is new zealand ...holland? danmark>

Perfect thread for this story. SO my buddy somehow ended up with 2 pounds of a seeded OG kush (top shelf in every aspect but riddled with seeds. Still don't know how this happened..I have my theories but I digress)

Anyway we decided to make the entire crop into butter. So we boiled, strained and threw the butter soaked weed into my trashcan as we went. We eventually filled almost a whole kitchen sized trash can full of this weed/butter material. Then we realized we had no rice krispies for the treats we were gonna make. We went to the corner store for 5 minutes. When we came back my Black lab/rottweiler mix (who HATES even the smell of weed) had eaten the entire contents of the trash can. Butter wrappers and all. 45 minutes later she was on her back hyperventilating. Her eyes were rolled in the back of her head. Her tongue was hanging out and she was projectile vomiting EVERYWHERE. I was sure my dog was gonna die.

It was a Sunday night so I had to take her to an animal ER (fml). The vet told me, "we have new research that shows cannabis acts much more like LSD on the canine brain. Basically your dog is trippin balls. (his words)"

He gave her a shot for nausea and a shot for dehydration. My dog did not get up off her dog bed for 7 days. I literally had to carry out my 80 pound beast and hold her up to go to the bathroom. I don't think she even ate for 4 days. On the 7th day she got up started walking and fell into the wall.

It's funny now but at the time I was SO upset.

For the record: Literally ONE BITE of those krispies was almost too much. 3 bites caused hallucinations. Funny side note. My high school senior little sister found some of them in the bottom drawer of the fridge at my moms house. She knew what they were and ate a big one before school one day (without telling me). during second period she freaked out and ran home without telling anyone. Death krispies.:fire:

My dog started having seizures & was diagnosed with brain cancer. She was given 6 months to live.
I read online that people were curing brain tumors in people with Cannabis. So I made some thc paste from kief & everclear & oil. She gets a small dose every day on her food.
She has been seizure free for almost 2 years now. Her vet looks like she's seen a ghost every time I bring her in. She expected her to be dead a long time ago.
Cannabis saved my dog.

A pound of plain butter (or any fat) can seriously harm a dog....pancreatitis

In the house my (last) dog wouldn't eat anything until I gave him permission. I once had a dog that ate two and a half oz's of bud. Alls that happened was I got really PO'ed and the dog was a bit blood shot but perfectly fine. Teach your dog proper manners and you won't have any problems. When I'm doing resins I always keep it in sealed containers until I'm ready to use them. I know for a fact if I downed a litre of conola oil I'd be vomiting and down for the count but they still sell extracted oils at the grocery stores.

If I catch a dog near my cannabis
he will die yes.
Not really but he would get a good dose
of stink eye.

Any info I give is based on what I would be comfortable doing.
Please get other opinion.

In nature plants don't live in plastic buckets but at my house they do or they get the f**k out.
