well you can try soaking the soil in water for some hours, then switching to a new bucket of water.
after a couple of times, the dirt should be completely washed away and you should have only the roots, without the dirt!!:hump::hump::hump::hump:

Right. If the soil is peat moss and perlite (or vermiculite) it outta be ok. But if it contains any garden soil, esp clay, you might not get it all off at first. Then its likely to clog your spray heads sooner or later. The business end of the root is a fine hair. You dont want to rub the roots and you cant help but damage them. So reduce the light for a while and let them recover bedfor you put em in high gear.
Next time if you dont have any rockwool you can so wrap the newly sprouted taproot in paper towell and Al foil and set em in a glass of water under 100W cf to root em

Hey.........you can easily transfer "dirt dseedlings" into a hydro set up;;;;;;;;;;;;

It's easy......
Have your "new" hydro-pot-bucket.....filled w/lava rock.
Take your cutting, soak it up in a bucket for a minute...gently shake any soil off of the roots....make a dip in the hydro bucket...set the root ball in, cover with lava rock and water twice daily till you see roots protruding in to the hydroponic solution:joint:

haha beat me to it.............yes you can transfer rooted clones in soil and transfer into ur bucket....just make sure u remove as much soil as you can from the roots without damage'ing them so that the dirt doesnt clog up ur system .........weave the roots thru the net pots and thats all....dont be suprised if u see ur plants droop or stop growing since this a result in shock but no need to worry they should bounce right back up................:joint:

Just soak the plants in water for a few hours then pick the big pieces out by hand. but....

I also started new clones at the same time in my aeroponic system. All of the new cuttings outgrew the soil cuttings by quite a bit. The soil plants were 5 times the size of the new cuttings but I thing the shock of removing the soil kept them small. They took about 3 weeks to start growing a again. In the mean time the new cuttings had already popped roots and were taking off big time!

If I had to do it all over again I would have kept the soil cuttings in dirt for mothers and take fresh cuttings off of them.
