can cloning be done without root hormone?

Yeah it's been done for thousands of years. Google it. Vitamin b does it and there is a tree bark that does it too I think. I'm not 100% sure but I know it can be done.

You can take cuttings, put in glass of water, and set in window to root. It will take awhile, and results aren't as reliable, but it can be done. Lightly, lightly skin off the outer layer on your cutting, about an inch up from the bottom. Be sure to not leave alot of leaf on your cuttings, minimal amount of green is enough to give this rootless cutting what it needs. Change the water DAILY. It needs oxygen and cant be stale. Some people even use an aquarium bubbler in the water. Watch for little white nubs to appear in about 10-14 days. Let us know how it works. Good luck

it will work sometimes but why not but some cloning gel you can buy it anywhere probly even wallmart. try what willmunny said and if you have more try cutting straight up the stem a half inch this will also expose the cambium layer more.

I just took some clones at our Legal grow using powder root tone from wallmart. 6 of 6 made it. Most times seems to be about 80% success rate.

I use the tutorials in the DIY section to make a cloner.

and just take the cuttings from a perfectly healthy mother plant at a 45 degree angle. adjust the ph of the water to around 5.8. none of that gel, powder, root hormones or B1 crap the less chemicals in my cloner the better. and in 1 to 2 weeks I get 95% to 100% success every time. and then at that time if I am going to leave them in there longer I will add nutrients at the 2 week mark, I like to let them veg in the cloner for an extra week sometimes for a total of 3 weeks for really healthy 6"+ tall clones.
