Can hydro taste as good as soil??

Idk all about that, nutes def have something to do with the flavors of the plant imo. why do you think people go organic? Even when you flush correctly i think some of the nutes tastes carry over.
Agreed tho, its all about the grower, and how familiar they are with that system. and I dont hate on LED's whatsoever, and in fact i plan on getting some for supplemental lighting in my box later on. But when a grower claims that LEDs are the greatest thing since sliced bread and clowns on the tried and true methods, they should read alot more about LED technology and realize that it will be a few more years before the BIG led's come out, and those will have much better penetration than the puny 5mm or less they have now.
Grow smart, and don't be a gadget fiend like the rest of America.

For all the dirtbaggers and water whores out there(lol). Both methods can produce dank with an experienced grower. In my opinion organic medium grown Dank tastes a smells a little sweeter but quality and strength can be the same. But I have close friends that produce killa in hydro that taste great as well...-------bottom line is love your ladies and they'll love you back...

About 2-2.5 months they were bushes. They were sticky and stinky at about 1-1.5 months. Believe me or not I really don't care.
and for the LED argument 90 watts is 90 watts enough said. Yes they are more efficient but I would only put them on par with a 175 or a 250 not a 400 and certainly not a 600 hps.

I agree with this they do make fucking awesome veg lights, you can buy a whole lot of clf's and magic beans with the cost of an led set up.
I am not saying that it is magic juice, but if it did contain micro nutrients, vitamins, etc that it could reasonably give the plant what it needed to produce sweeter buds?
Plus while there is a barrier system in the roots, I do feel reasonably certain modern science has learned ways to defeat the barriers. If you dont believe me just go to your medicine cabinet or pharmacy it is filled with chemicals that companies developed to get past bio barriers.

were did all this led argument come from? noone hated on hps i flower with 3 600w lumatek hps so i dunno who ever hated on them and yes u can buy a lot of cfl and beans for the price of led but i got a hook up and got mine at cost and u cant veg the same size area with cfl as led if u stay in the 180watt range wich is what mine is well 2 90w any way but ya why the big fight i will do it the right way in soil or some sort of soil mix and u can do it your way

this is true hydro is easier than soil and can cut flower time down but my op not as good of bud spec in taste now no one freak out its just my 2 cents i know how sensitive some of u r to a dif opinion

yah with hydro you can ascertain A LOT more info and quite easy to accomplish that too... and if you mess up can change your medium(water) instantly and start over... hard to do with soil.... I grow both soil and hydro.... my hydro taste better than any soil I've grown.
I believe hydro grown bud can taste better every time because you can FULLY hydro plants flush it where thats pretty damn hard to do with soil.....

u could be right im no hydro expert but i am at soil well coco is what i use but whatever same but dif if that makes sense that could be why my op is the way it is but arjan from green house when he enters cannabis cup he grows soil and so does most of amsterdam so i duuno ?

My final project this semester was a review of using hydro to display varying nutrient def.
Stop calling people out.
Hydro is more complicated. It uses many machines typically that can fail, which is a whole issue before you get to the fact that nutrient solutions can and do separate by weight in solution.
To say that hydro is more simple then soil is the biggest understatement I have heard in a while. Countless water changes, countless readings, countless PH adjustments. Generally once per week or preferably sooner. Yeah, that's what I call simple.

One water change a week and adjusting the pH every other day is too much for you? Talk about lazy! I grow hydro and you do not, how are you going to voice your opinion over mine? Check my 400 watt journal to see the results, not only better than your soil grow but much easier. Have fun watering your plants every other day. I have to mess with water one time a week sometimes longer.
