Can i clone from clone?

I just read a couple of posts about this topic(cloning a clone of clone of clone...)
And most of the people said, clone is just the same copy from original plants and there are no genetic degradation at all.
Then what is the special benefit from maintaining motherplants for cloning? getting many clones every week?
If there are no genetic degradation or any other harmful effects from cloning a clone, is it ok for me to just cut several clones from clone in vege before turning to flowering?
i'm newbie grower and i'm just wondering...

Yeah there might be a slight change after like 10 years of cloning. Dont know anyone thats done it that long to find out but at the end of the day it's a clone. Wouldn't be called that if it wasn't genetically the same.

cloning from a clone is no problem.
most mother plants are just clones grown large enough to supply new clones, you can either keep the mother or flower her out & use a new clone to grow out for your next mother plant

I see moms as a way of keeping more than a couple strains around, especially if you switch back and forth between photos and autos. Since auto require longer light schedules, you can’t grow them in the same tent. So having a mom vegging while the autos flower makes it possible to keep the photos around until they finish.

People keep mothers because then they can take as many clones as they want whenever they want. Most people growing for quantity tend to do entire rooms of the same strain so they need big mothas that they can pull anywhere from 10-1,000 clones off at a time. That way they can more easily dial in nutrient/water demands for the entire room instead of trying to feed each individual plant.
