Can I ever take a cutting from my plant once it's flowering?

Hello all,

First time grow. I just now found out the sex of my two plants. 1 male and 1 fem. I know you're not supposed to take cuttings once they're in flowering mode but can you take a cutting once you harvest? Thank you for your time.

You can take a cutting at anytime, however the earlier the better. The longer the plant is in flowering, the more stressful it is to the cutting. The higher the stress, the higher the chance of hermi or failing to root.

also I've read thc production is affected and I'm seeing that first hand from a cut I took at 6 weeks in.

Thank you everyone. I'm 3 days into flowering right now. If I took a cutting today would it stress the plant out too much and stop it from flowering for a few days? I'm just wondering if it's even worth risking it or not. Thanks again.

Not at all, take it from some of the lower foliage that isn't going to make good bud anyway. There's usually enough there to take a few clones from.
