Can I get an opinion or two on these Trichomes

Hello. I have a few strains going currently and are all falling within their harvest window. I have a few pictures of two of the strains. two of the three current candidates are super skunk and the other is chocolope kush. Your expertise is always appreciated. I'll just put the only pics that seemed clear enough to figure out what's happening. Thank you for your time and help. Hopefully these aren't too much I can't change the file size on my phone and my laptop is broken. Sorry.

I would say you’re certainly in the harvesting window, just depends on your personal preference. I would go another 5-7 days for them to Amber more to about 15-20% or so, but again that me. If you’re choosing to flush and haven’t started yet, get going.

2-weeks more, maybe less since it's an Indica. I harvest when half the pistils are white and half are curled-brown. The plant seems to mature even after cut. It seems there's more amber trichs once cured, than there were when harvested.

That's odd when I try to go by pistols it never works out. I usually have hardly any white left.

Thanks everybody. My apologies for the delay in my response I've been having internet issues for a bit. They've gotten significantly more white over the last few days. Glad I started flushing i have a few more strains coming up in this grow but they definitely have a bit longer. Probably two weeks or so.

And some strains continue to produce white pistils until harvest. I should add that I never harvest when the leaf trich-scene looks like a room of bright, sparkling, crystal chandeliers. I wait until most of the trichs look dull milky-white, and a few have started to turn amber.

Flushing is for toilets.
Could be the reason you go by leather lungs? Lol

but In all seriousness, to each their own. I personally flush even when growing organically simply because I believe there is no need of inhaling excess nutrient salts. Doesn’t seem like it would be good long term and I don’t want to be sorry in 20 years.

I dont smoke but my friends who do smoke my stuff like "nonflushed" plants more than the ones I flush. They even ask for the ones that are not flushed.
Why would you deprive the plant of nutrients the last two weeks of one of the most important stages of bulking up and losing out on weight? Seems counter intuitive. The plants need those leaves to stay green from start to finish to produce.

I’m not sure how this applies to my statement since my reason for flushing is for my personal health, but I will explain why I flush from a plant standpoint...

if you start your flush at the correct time during the flowering stage, the plant should no longer be creating new growth of any sort. For me, this is 7-9 days. Flushing is not depriving the plants from nutrients per say it’s just not adding additional a week before harvest. This causes the plant to consume the remaining nutrients in the soil. The plant will then begin by consuming itself to provide the nutrition needed to swell and ripen. As it consumes itself it also will use up any left over compounds in the leaves which now leads back to my initial statement of health, Due to having less nutrient compounds in your smoke. There has not been any change in my weights since flushing (at least not noticeable). That being said I’m not claiming your idea is wrong, I know a bunch of people who don’t flush and cure killer bud. I just prefer flushing because I believe I’m yielding the same quantity and quality of bud with a less nutrient compounds filled inhale.

Its not my idea its basic horticulture mate. The plant is consuming itself because it needs the nutrients that its missing out on. Like I said I dont smoke but the taste you get isnt like your straight up smoking nitrogen or potassium. Im sure the plants convert those elements into safer products for us to consume. Why do hydro growers growing tomatos for sale never flush? Theres too much bro science in cannabis growing. A proper cure should do the taste job unless you sprayed avid or something late in flower etc.

I didn’t once mention taste, I was talking about health. The effect of inhaling excess nutrient compounds, which is my reasoning.

[QUOTE=" Why do hydro growers growing tomatos for sale never flush? .[/QUOTE]

Now this is something I can comment on since I have grown up in a family produce and nursery business, activity working it for the past 15 years. Yes a large percentage of hydroponic farmers do most certainly flush their produce whether it’s tomatoes, peppers, or leafy greens. They do it multiple times throughout the grow as they change nutes or schedules. it is very common practice for those who grow leafy greens to flush them prior to harvest.

I respect your choice to not flush. It’s your bud. You do with it as you choose. I understand there are multiple ways to skin a cat and that you/those who consume your buds are more than happy with your harvest, However, I too am happy with my yields and quality, and it puts my mind at ease knowing there are less total compounds remaining in the bud after being flush.

Anyway I wish you a bountiful harvest! We had a tough season in the northeast with a excessively wet fall.

Flushing is for shit which is exactly what chemmy weed is. I've flushed plenty of it before giving up on dispensaries.

If you feed the recommended dose til chop, youre growing chemmy shit that belongs in the toilet. If you stop feeding the last weeks and fade the plants, youre flushing whatever you call it, and your weed might be smokable. What category do you fit in? Maybe growing smokable weed or not growing smokable weed ?

You're friends are idiot NPCs just like people who buy store bought hydro tomatoes that make real humans vomit.
I bet your flushed weed smelled like hay and the no flushed smelled like whatever novelty scented nutes you use. Its easy to take advantage of deluded dumb placebo people with nothing of quality to compare to and no brain to discern terps from ferts.
