thats my question cuz sum1 said before dont cut more then 30 percent off at once or sumthin.
posted/written before you posted back... ignore my comment in the previous ESSAY that i wrote, lol as I am not one to talk shit...LOL i was thinking you were going to re-veg and let the trichomes turn dark amber color...
...LOL i wasn't thinking the half was a temporary... my bad
They were milky with like 5 to 10 percent amber. Im about to make a thread in harvestin and curing. With pics. . . .ppl are biased... It really depends on what you are talking about... First of all, do you have a microscope/jewelers loop? If so you're sitting pretty cuz you will be able to tell JUST when it's best to cut on the top half... PREFERABLY and this is coming from the Hemporer's Book himself you want your Trichomes to be a milky white color just before harvest... Of course you can wait longer or cut earlier this is purely up to your preference as the grower. BUT with that said, I cut the top halves of mine when the Trichomes are half milky white and some see thru like a bead of water. This way the bud will/should have it's full potential and flavor.. As Trichomes are at their peak just before they start to amber up and turn somewhat yellow. SO, again with that being said, you can harvest the top (currently am experimenting with 3 plants on this) and let the lower fagged out nugs grow 2-3 weeks longer generally without them getting "icky" which is the most useless comment ever.^^ OF COURSE keep an eye on them (i check mine daily--- will post a full topic with pics and such at a future date) because those nugs while still getting bigger (which isn't guaranteed to happen with every type of plant) can actually develop amber trichomes and potentially give you a more harsh smoke once dried and cured... Hope the info helps, check out the Medical Marijuana Growers Bible (get it @ borders before it goes out of business--will prob be cheaper too cuz they're about to) if you need more info as it has come in more than handy for myself and my friends...
