i JUST switched to flowering yesturday... so i have 3 plants, and 8 2700k Cfl with 1600 lumens each

my question is... would it hurt if i just ADD my 5 5000k Cfl's with 1750 lumens each

i currently have the 8 2700k cfls at top along with 2 5000k ones

and i want add the remaining 3 5000k on the bottom pointing upward to hit the underbranches

will the different temp bulbs mess with the flowering process?

If you place bulbs under the plant it can cause a problem with the plant stretching downward rather than up. You would be better served keeping them to the sides or on top. Nothing wrong with adding them into the mix though.

i build the little rig out of pvc pipe at homedepot... along with the lights, everything cost me 30 dollars... im going to tape white construction paper on the sides tonight and put some ono block because now my room is noticably getting stinkier... although noone in the house cares about me growing the plants, since im living in someone elses basement, and they hang thier dry cleaning down there, they dont want all thier good stuff smelling like my tomatoe plants

As long as you have a lot of 2700k light, the other stuff will only help.

I know I plan to throw my 100 watts of 6500K CFLs used for germ/seedlngs in the closet when I switch from the MH bulb to HPS for flowering.

500 watts (400 HPS and 4x26W 6500K CFLs) in a 2x5 closet = 50 watts of complete spectrum with heavy on the red per sq foot.

Sounds solid to me!
