Can I mix Advanced Nutrients with PK 13/14

Hello everyone!
I have a question for the experts here.
This is my first indoor growth, and my plants are currently in the 4th flowering week.
I have been using Advanced Nutrients Master Schedule till now, and my question now is, can I mix PK 13/14 from Canna, together with my advanced products?
I’ve also figured out that Overdrive from Advanced should do pretty the same, however I still want to try to extract the most consistence from my plants before they harvest.

any suggestions?

I don't expect canna's pk 13/14 is much different to other brands pk 13/14 its all pk regardless of the name on the bottle.

Do you have any pics of flowers from previous crops?

Wow. It is all mostly snake oil and largely just a way of taking money from your bank and putting it in theirs.

But Canna PK13/14 is a good product. In fact you could do worse than using Canna A & B and PK13/14, then forget the rest.

Keeping it simple is the best way to get consistency, if you are using the master schedule from advanced nutrients you don't need that many additives, especially a canna nutrients base I don't know about all the snake oil stuff but both are good products and I definitely wouldn't mix the two ,

Snake Oil is an unfair description on my part,TBH. All of these lines like Advanced Nutrients offer a myriad of different additives and most of them are a way of selling you something that you don't really need or something that is useful but they have hyped it and marked it up. I bought into Plant Magic Old Timers Line, it is good stuff. However they suckered me in with a product called Plant Magic Plus Old Timers Organic Magnesium, it came in a fancy tub, with a fancy label and has loads of spiel. It cost me the equivalent of $6 for what was basically 300g of Epsom Salt. I can buy a 1KG bag of Epsom Salt from the Home Hardware store for $1.50.

My mate uses Advanced Nutrients, he uses the same grow store I used to. He has got some flushing agent, that as far as I can tell is a gallon of water with a whole lot sugar and a trace of citric acid. Flushing is a myth that a lot of growers get behind, the nute companies have seen this and they have marketed a product they can upsell to reinforce the growers misguided theories. For example...

How can a product that claims to "remove excess nutrients" do this with an NPK of 3.8-4.1-7.1? Surely that is adding nutrients?

I was feeding mine with 4 products in a fancy grow mix, costing a fair bit each time. In the Pandemic I couldn't get the grow mix or the the fertilisers. So I used regular garden compost, perlite and some rotted farm manure and for fertiliser I used the wife's tomato feed and Epsom salt after a few weeks of veg. My weed turned out just the same. I have done 3 grows like that now, there is very little that is going to convince me that any of these "cannabis" nutrient lines are anything other than fancy packaging and hype. Yes they work, but they are an overpriced and complicated way of doing things.

So happy since I’ve switch to dry salts. Over the last few grows. Next goal is to just start mixing my own, I may have to hit you up to see what can be done :lol:

You know it's just as easy to get a premixed dry product like Jacks 5-11-26 and calcium nitrate. I use something similar that's mixed by a local hydro shop. I have mixed stuff in the past but then you're dealing with a bunch of different salts. It might save even more money but most dry salt products are already extremely inexpensive so I don't feel the need to mix myself. I forget what you're using but it is obviously working. You seem to already have things dialed in.

I switched to floraflex a few runs ago and absolutely love it. I tried the 1 part megacrop a few years ago and think it’s absolutely garbage nutes, I never seen my reservoir so gross in my life. I think I’ll try jacks in the near future maybe.

Ok so actually thanks for all the replies here - I'm just 2 weeks away from harvesting, so I'll leave everything as it is for now.
But I definitely will not use Advanced anymore.
I also knew from the beginning that everything there it's 80% marketing from Big Mike, however, I wanted to test those nutrients at any cost.


Does anyone have any suggestion (mix) for a really beautiful and massive growth?
I'm already searching for my next schedule re-starting in a couple of weeks. Any help would be highly appreciated.

I'm planning to only have 4 plants this time, under a 600w light, 4 square meters.

I would love to hear from someone harvesting several hundreds of grams/period.

Environment is more important than brand of nutrient. Pretty much any nutrient will work some are just less expense and hassle than others. Lighting, temperature including the important root zone which many neglect, proper watering practices, proper application of nutrients, etc... Those are going to be more of a factor for good growth than any specific brand of fertilizer.

Yeah! I definitely agree! But as mentioned my environment it's pretty OK. Also, I'm going to use automatic systems for temperature and humidity.
Does anyone have experience with Aero systems?

Damn that a lot of bottles!! Likely just making things harder on you. I use canna coco a/b, pk 13/14, liquid karma and Epson salts and am having my best results to date.
