IMO the main reason people over water coco (aside from too large of pots for the size of plant) is due to inadequate drainage. If you are using fabric pots, and the pot is sitting flat on a saucer then your pot will never really fully drain. I've grown in pure coco, but I prefer 70/30 coco/perlite, and I do water them 2 or 3 times a day to runoff. I use 2-gal containers and can pull a QP for moderate yielding strains in that size.

But the OP isn't really even using coco, it's a coco/rock mixture, which seems completely pointless to me.
