Can I put a timer on hood/fan????

I'm sure one or two of you ran across this before, what do you think? Have you guys had your hood/lights on a timer? If so does your fan run all the time or just when the temp rises? When the lights are off can I have another, say a smaller cfm fan to run exhaust while lights are off? Trying to find the right mix here before I put the pots in. Thanks for the help...

you can put a timer on anything with a plug pretty much ,

i had a seprate timer hooked up to my fan so my fan would cut off when my lights did ,

you`ll be fine, every crop i do indoors i have everything hooked up to 1 timer and everything get shut off, circulating fans, exaust and everything. and i never hade any problems whatsoever. but depends on the conditions of your grow space.
i say put everything on 1 timer and let everything shut off when the lights go out. do this for a week or 2 and check your temps, humidity, and crop daily for problems, but like i said i do this everyday with no problems.

I ran my 400w light with my 6" fan on a timer and had no problems. And this was only to cool the reflector. I had passive intake flaps open for fresh air and most of the time would just leave my tent open. I had a 4" fan/carbon filter for exhaust, but never used either. Fans for circulation stayed on 24/7.

you will need one fan blowing across the girls at ALL times. As for a in line fan across the lights, why hook it to a timer ? Instead, hook it up to a thermostat so it will go on and off as needed.
