I found some mold on plant I was harvesting, tossed out all bad spots I could find . Can I use the rest (stuff with no mold ) to make butter or is it all contaminated? 1st time dealing with mold, thought maybe the cooking would kill any spores I missed. It's alota bud to throw away, hope I can cannabutter it. Any info would be great. I tried researching this but no luck. thanks and have a stoney one.

I would think you could still make butter. I had a crop get pollinated once and i gave all my plants to a buddy of mine. He let them dry in a garbage bag and they got moldy. However some of the bud was still good.

I don't usually screw around with moldy stuff I'm going to consume.

Mold and fungal spores are destroyed in temperatures above 140F, not sure what it'd do to the weed, I only had some moldy schwag once that I threw away. Sucks about the mold duder.

A point of caution, mold byproducts are toxic sometimes and no amount of heat will render it non-toxic. Ever tossed moldy wood onto a campfire? I wouldn't ever want to inhale that shit. When in doubt. . . throw it out.

Sounds about right. No need to risk getting sick. At least it was only the 1 plant, I was spraying way too much water on them. I won't do that again! Thanks
