i have been using humbolt nutrients and am in the 3rd week of flower.
i just got my sample pack in for another company, and i wanted to know if i could or should add the micronutrients to my 2 part organic nutrients.... now that i typed that im kinda thinking it would take away frmo growing organically...

is this an acceptable ratio in a bloom nute? N 1.2 P 6.1 K 5.5

also the nutes i just got are for a hydro system i think... are they universal? or do i need to specifically look for soil nutes?

been using humbolt nutrients organic grow, bloom. going to add blackstrap molassas to the mix as soon as i remember when im suposed to start adding it.... guess ill start with 1 tablespoon, when i go back on sunday, and work my way back up to 2 in the next few weeks..

Usually with npk numbers I read that two of the numbers are the same like 10 0 0 or 10 20 10
I read this info in Ed Rosenthal's book. MJ growers handbook.
If you want to see if your soil is deficient in anything send a soil sample to a lab. A college or university in your area may be part of a county agricultural extension service. They will analyze your soil and give you a printout of it's makeup. If you tell them you're growing tomatoes they'll tell you what deficiencies you may have and the ph of your soil and how to change it.

ok, but what im asking is would it hurt my plants to add the micro nutrients to the mix i already use? i am going to make up one gallon with all 3, the grow, bloom and other brand of micro nutes. and just water one girl with that for the next few waterings. that way i can see if there is any difference.
i use kmart soil, so i know it is deficient, but i had lush healthy growth in veg, figured the soil that had less npk in it was best. since i am adding my own npk to it during every watering...
but thats a great idea.... once i get this figured out and started going with the perpetual. and providing meds for 5 patients, i want to get it tested, but for now im just usin cheap soil. my budget is busted...

and what would happen if i were to make up a gallon of these new nutes, and switched one plant over to the new nutes completely? just dropped the plant in on the schedule. would it harm them to do this? since they are used to the humbolt nutes nutrient levels? i am assuming the hydroponix brand nutes are going to have different levels....

I would recommend just starting the new nutes at lower than recommended amounts. With all nutes, I start off slowly and increase the amounts over time.

Thanks

I've read and been told to try and stay with one or the same brands of fertilizers that you start with. No one really follows that rule so you should be alright if you go light and slow. Start off with a small amount (half or less) and only once ever week or two. I currently have a Fox Farm grow near the end of flowering. I added some Humbolt County's Purple Maxx and what a difference, I am in the 7-8th week of flowering and my colas are shooting out new flowers. In my situation that mixing of brands is working fine.

Changing your plan is fine. I wouldn't do it however because I know what I have works for me. Its like starting over to see what works for you, but if I were using Humbolt's line of nutrients I would absolutely be turned on to any other nutrient program. I am not a fan.

Ya know I just read your initial post again. The Grow is for the veg stage. But you are into weeks of flowering, correct? Usually the Grow is cut out and you use Bloom and cal/mag and B1, and some sugar daddy. I don't think I left anything else out. But anyways that little bit of N won't be a problem I'm sure.
I didn't know you were healing patients. It gives me extra incentive now to give you accurate information. If you need a feeding schedule you can dl one online or ask anyone for a link. All manufacturers have feeding schedules. Mine I post up so I don't forget the order. Always add Boost first. Then Bloom. Then the rest. Blamo. I just did my good dead for the day.

what im really wondering, and im gonna try to get as much detail across as possible, is can i add the hydroponix brand micro nutes to my humbolt nutes watering schedule? shit i just had company come over....

the micro nutes guaranteed analysis is 3.3-0-1.3 says to use at a rate of 15 ml/gal.. can i add this to my nutrient solution i have pre made, with a ratio of 5 ml grow, 5ml bloom, 1 tbl spoon off unsulphered molasses ( wont be adding the mol for another week yet.)
will the extra N and K boost help?

but why would i need to add MORE N? this is confusing me... i think im just gonna say fuckit and wait and run this stuff alone following their schedule.
the micro is derived from calcium nitrate, iron DTPA, potassium nitrate.

total nitrogen(N)........3.3% nitrate nitrogen
soluble potash (K2o)...1.3%
calcium (CA).............5%
iron (FE)..................0.06% cheleated iron

the humbolt grow is
Guaranteed Analysis
Total Nitrogen (N)……………………………………..………………..3.00%
1.80% Ammoniacal Nitrogen
1.12% Water Soluble Nitrogen
0.08% Nitrate Nitrogen
Available Phosphate (P2O5)……………………..……………………1.00%
Soluble Potash (K20)……………………………………………………3.00%
Calcium (Ca)……………………………………………………………..1.00%
DERIVED FROM: Ocean Fish, Soy Protein, Seaweed Extract, Yucca Extract, Magnesium Sulfate, Zinc Oxide, Soft Rock Phosphate and Cane Molasses.

humbolt bloom

Guaranteed Analysis:
Available Phosphate (P2O5)………… 10.00%
Calcium (Ca)……………..……………. 10.00%
Derived From: Soft Rock Phosphate and Kelp.
ALSO CONTAINS NON-PLANT FOOD INGREDIENT:
2% Yucca Extract

what do i do?

I think in the interest of keeping it simple you should stick to one line of nutrients, not add anything extra, and don't deviate from the manufacturer's feeding schedule. Works for me
