I have some Blue Dream and Cherry Pie clones. I want to keep them short and bushy. To what node should I top them?
Ok, thanks.check out uncle ben's thread, uncle ben's topping technique for 2 or 4 main colas..
brb with link..
even if u had a clone with alternating nodes, and new growth starting topping is still gonna do the same thing, your resulting branching will just be alternate not opposite, but I dnt agree with removing that much growth, as in UB's thread. frankly I think its counter productive. fimming is good and works well with a lot of varieties, rather that getting rid of the whole top section of your plant, it slows the vertical growth and thus, the side branching grows more, at least until the top resumes dominance, but by then you usually have some nice branching starting to formUncle Ben's topping method is not for growing from seed. Although you can top a clone the same way, or anywhere you'd like for that matter, you will only have the same type of UB results if the leaves are opposing rather than alternating. Uncle Ben doesn't like fimming, but I fim my clones and use UB's method if growing from seed. If you've got seeds, use UB's method for sure.
I mis typed anyway... UB's method IS for growing from seed.Uncle Ben's topping method is not for growing from seed.
