Can i turn lights off for a day 5 week into flowering?

I have some people coming to stay and they cant know about the growing.
I have a closet grow which no one would notice if it wasnt for the light shining out the edges of the doors.
I need them off for 24hrs. Will this cause my plants any problems?
 
I wouldn't risk it, though I can't say for sure if it will do harm. You can't plug the light leaks or put them in another room?
 
no idea. but it probably wouldnt hurt. If i were you id just throw a blanket up over the closet or somthin to eliminate the light.
 
Cant move them anywhere else id still have the same problem. Im not keen on the idea of turning them off but its the easiest way, just dont know what it will do to my plants. Could try and cover the gaps from the inside but not sure how, didnt want to use a blanket or anything like it, i dont have anything flamable in there. There is 2 doors to the closet and light shines all the way around the edges even in the centre where the door meet
 
You need a roll of rubber(or whatever the material is) insulation. It's about 3" wide and it has adhesive on the back. Cover all the cracks on the inside of your closet and that should take care of it. Just to be even safer, run a small watt light(like a 23w CFL) instead of your grow light(s). You'll prevent excess heat and have less light to block.

You need to use one of the old "blazin" skins to see the rep scales. Go here and click "edit options." The skin slider is all the way at the bottom.
 
When you cut the lights off in flowering state, what usually occurs is flowing of resin. Now what is bad to flowering plants if there is a light leak where it confuses the plants in flower to revert back to vegetative state. When I harvest several plants I usually leave the lights off for 24 hours and there are about 4 flowering plants left that will finish weeks after. Never harmed my flowering plants at all. Just be sure if you do that you have a dehumidifier on 24/7 when the lights are off because the humidity will jack up really high.

Thats strange, why havent they put the scales on the new skins. Im back in old mode now but ive got used to the new one. Atleast i can rep now. Thanks again

Thanks i didnt know that. Would resin be a good or bad thing and would it start to happen within 24hrs?
As for light leaking in it isnt a problem, the outter room to the closet (my bedroom) is always in darkness, no natural light in there and only a 40w bulb with a lamp shade when i do turn the light on
