Can I use a mars hydro tsw-2000 for seedlings?

Im new to growing and just began germinating some seeds yesterday. I was thinking about dimming the light down to about 25% and keeping it 30in above the seedlings when they reach the surface. I’m just wondering if the light would be too strong or if they’ll be fine.

I'd go closer and reduce even further. See what you can get with the lowest setting. 30'' is a safe distance but they will stretch and you don't really want that. I'd try the lowest setting at 18'' then increase power and or reduce height til i saw drooping then correct just enough to get it to pray.

Autos or photos?

I've gone full blast from seed my whole indoor growing "career". It's all about DLI, your lighting schedule/photons to the canopy comes into pay. Lower output Fluoros where used in veg to save energy and expensive hid bulb swaps NOT to increase health/yield.

Granted I came from an outdoor AG background(sun biased)

Edit. 25% @ 30" is a recipe for lanky kids, closer and higher output. Read your plants
