im assuming the water from the humidifier is tap water, do you use tap water for your plants? water must be the correct ph and have suitable ppm for your plant depending on its stage of growth. water will never run out, dont be afraid to flush it down the drain.

Ya have to ask yourself if you would drink it.Is there nicotine or other contaminants in the air?All the pollution ends up in there.

Exactly^^^^^^

That's just how I judge water, if I wouldn't drink it myself, it doesn't go on my plants.

Using de-humidifier water on mine. Just make sure the water basin is clean. Got 5+ gallons in a few days time. I'm sure the water is drinkable, if you really needed to do that. ;-)

problem is not with basin. its filter inside that hold every airborne bacteria....peace
this. whether you suck the moisture out of the air or pump it into the air, the filter on those things gets very nasty very quickly.

that being said, if your filter is changed regularly and the machine cleaned, the water that it produces should be fairly pure, similar to distilled. give it a taste. if it has any flavor at all throw it out. maybe you could do an experiment and use it to clone and see what happens. clean filter or not you don't want to be just dumping it on your plants without knowing what's in it or what will happen. i would totally try to make some old fashioned "clones in a cup of water" though. if you get them to root the water is probably ok.
