Why not? I got a shitload of them yard lights. Take the glass out. Good for a closet and a single plant. But you will in time want something better.View attachment 3015687View attachment 3015688 all advice welcome!
There usually uv protected. Why take the glass out.
Just asking so I know.
you asked if you can use the yard lamp and the answer is yes. I won't get into debates over lighting.Whats the difference between this and a purpose built 400w indoor light exept the reflector it has a ballast an runs on the same voltage?
why only one plant?
just put it in the bin dam,it's not goodView attachment 3015687View attachment 3015688 all advice welcome!

Alright then. That lamp will buzz like hell. It is awkward and gets hot, unless you gut it. Like I said it is fine for a closet but thats it. You would be better off buying a few cfl'si was not debating i was just trying to increase my knowledge on the subject.
Got one in my pc grow (125w). Awesome light, doesnt run too hot either.Didn't know they made 125w cfl.
