Can the trichomes replace themselves if they are wiped off???

if trichomeson a bud or two near harvest get damaged is there any possibility that they can 'grow' back and how long does this take

hey thanks for reply i was just experimenting with plant and rubbed skin off leaves added tobacco and smoked and to my surprise it worked so just wondered if the trichomes replace themselves i am about two weeks from harvest with no smoke...

Considering that farmers in Nepal RUB off trichomes NUMEROUS times in a season or even over NUMEROUS seasons at times, the answer would OBVIOUSLY be YES, trichomes are THERE to protect the leaves from sunlight. If they get rubbed off, they will, in time, replace themselves. Whether the AMOUNT will EVER be the same is debatable. But they WILL ooze out MORE droplets to protect themselves.
