Can they search my house??? Alberta

Hey, it doesnt say on my probation order anything about them searching my house or coming to my house, but my PO just made a homevisit (prescheduled) and told me surveillance would be checkin on me for my curfew.

I'm wondering if she or the police can come by any time and search the house? My room is basement, while the setup room and other bedrooms are 2nd floor. If the setup room is locked, and we say it is my roommates bedroom can they still force there way in?

Do you want to go back to prison?

Im pretty sure probation means be good or you go back to prison. Canada is pretty easy when it comes to growing but still you were in jail once already why risk going back?

if you are on probation they can come in and search anytime they want.. so the answer is yes. growing weed on probation? lol.. some people just have no sense.

they will do that if your not even on probation.... damn why do people start growing weed without learning at least a cursory knowledge of MJ laws and city/ctate criminal laws.. "IGNORANCE OF THE LAW IS NO EXCUSE"

I'm reading alot of places that if they dont have a warrant they can only search the 'common areas shared by roomates' and my room. But since the setup room is locked and is my roomates room they wont go in? smell/sound is not an issue its under control.

i dont want to put my mother plants down and wait a year to start again :(

Your gonna risk some weed for a spending a lot of time in jail.
Get your head straight and think about these things this is real life...

U won't it'll likely be more than a year when u factor in cultivation intent and a new pv. It'll be a lot longer kill the damn things and the the setup in storage for a year

your PO can check your entire place out anytime he/she wants for the simple fact that they are responsible for you staying out of trouble. Therefore they must visit where you live and investigate to make sure this environment will not get you sent back to jail, which sounds like it has potential. i know some parents that had to remove their hunting weapons out of their house because their son was on parole living with them. best of luck though m8

Is it the PO or the Police who will come search? My PO is a nice lady, so if i get all my drug counseling and community service over with asap we'll be on even better terms, i dont want to give her a reason to search.

My house already has its share of bongs/pipes everywhere, so if someone searches they find that anyways so I'm already fucked breaching, fuck i hate the law :( would keepin the mothers in a stealth cabinet in my roomates room by viable at least to keep the mothers safely until outdoor season?

you come on here and ask question...the RIU comunity (most of the responders have been "well reputed") gives you an answer you dont want to hear. so you ask the question in another way, and still dont get the answer you want. then your response is "Your right :sad: I guess this year'll be a focus on outdoor" . outdoor isnt for another 5-6-7 months depending on your climate. you obviously dont have enough knowledge (hence you spent thousands on a grow setup while on probation) to start a grow. go buy jorge cervantes' "the bible" and read up on the proper way to do things, then you should be ready for some OD next year. youve backed yourself into a corner. throw up your hands put away the grow stuff and enjoy some freedom for a couple months. that way it wont be so bad when you get arrested for cultivation next year.

heh, just making sure that it wasn't just a few people who thought it was a bad idea, and I know the growing season here... I was under the impression that any warrantless search needs 24 hour notice when i bought my supplies, guess i got all excited in the setup and didn't triple check all my background shit to make sure I'd be okay to grow here.

I've been permafried to long apparently cause I never clued in that im on probation not vacation, so my rights are cut pretty thin.
