BUT KNOW WAY ARE YOU GONNA GET YOUR HOUSE TAKEN COME ON
Did you even read either of the links above concerning common seizure laws, buddy this shit is no joke,if they feel like it they are taking it all & you'll never get any of it back, no matter what you do,once they have it it's all theirs.

Everybody thinks it only happens in extreme circumstances,or to the other guy,i am the other guy,it happens daily to people who are smaller fish than you or i,seizure laws are the main reason mj remains illegal, its big business.

Btw,did you not read where i lost my home.

They didnt give me a choice,i spent a little over 2 years in a cell & they still took it all, even my ex wifes car which was co owned by both of us,however they did kindly offer to sell her the car at blue book, the rats !

There are many many people on this site with grows much larger than what i had going on,i'll never grow anything in my home ever again, its cheaper in the long run to buy a dump of a house or a small building for the grow.

I learned several valueable lessons, the biggest lesson was to pay an accountant to handle all my finances,he keeps track of my rental property income ,my income from my job, pays our taxes ect, that way i have proof where every last dollar came from & where money was spent.

so your saying if i cut back to maybe 1 or 2 plants have nothing bagged and no scales and only grow for personal use they prolly wouldnt try to steal my house?

That will depend on how the local prosecuter feels that day,or if your state is cash strapped like my state,or if the prosecutor is running for a higher office that term, its a crap shoot.

There really are no hard nailed rules to seizure laws as they are open to interprutation by judges, prosecutors & police to use at will.

where i live in the US they can seize your car or house or whatever they find drugs in...
then they drive YOUR car to the elementary school with D.A.R.E. stamped on the side and tell all of the little kids how they got that car from a drug dealer.

I have no idea about other places but i'm pretty sure that they can seize your shit leaving you pennyless.

that is kinda funny yet fucked up at the same time!

i needed that little laugh, thanks!

They absolutely can take your house. Federal Offense. I'm not saying that they will, but I'm sure if they felt like it they could get away with it.

well pan i hate to say it but i just may retire from growing, it really hurts but I guess i can just pay for my erb,

I dont know man I got a good job and kids and a family, seems like i could destroy it all for nothing more than trying to smoke weed for free:cry:

i could see if i was broke, but i finally pretty stable and I dont want greed to get me in the end

shit maybe ill teach one of my broke ass friends to grow and get it from him wholesale:mrgreen::mrgreen: so i can still smoke the fine stuff:mrgreen:

Kinda like the proffessional sports player retiring and becoming a coach I wont have to worry about injuries:blsmoke:

smart move with all the precautions your now taking, but with everything you should have a finacial goal and then should stop when you reach it and go legit

Murphys law you know, if you dont have a threshold the law will take effect at some point

MURPHY'S LAWS

  1. Nothing is as easy as it looks.
  2. Everything takes longer than you think.
  3. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
  4. If there is a possibility of several things going wrong, the one that will cause the most damage will be the one to go wrong. Corollary: If there is a worse time for something to go wrong, it will happen then.
  5. If anything simply cannot go wrong, it will anyway.
  6. If you perceive that there are four possible ways in which a procedure can go wrong, and circumvent these, then a fifth way, unprepared for, will promptly develop.
  7. Left to themselves, things tend to go from bad to worse.
  8. If everything seems to be going well, you have obviously overlooked something.
  9. Nature always sides with the hidden flaw.
  10. Mother nature is a bitch.
  11. It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenious.
  12. Whenever you set out to do something, something else must be done first.
  13. Every solution breeds new problems.

I went through the same decisions,i chose to stay 100% straight for over 20 years till the kids were grown & on their own, everything we own is well doccumented from mine & my wifes hard work so im covered that way.

The main reason i got back into growing was that i missed doing it,i was fairly successfull at it & it was fun, couple that with the fact i own a dump of a commercial building that hasnt been rented in over 5 years so i put it to good use,not to get rich growing but to supply me & the wife with all we want,i wouldnt sell a roach at this point in my life,im so close to retirement i can taste it.

Im in Michigan & i can say for a fact that the police will seize everything in sight, then the prosecuting attorney will come after whats left.

Not only did they take my house which was 100% paid off free & clear, they seized all my bank accounts,2 cars,a truck,2 motorcycles & a motor home,my safe & all its contents which were cash, stamp collection,my ex wifes jewerly, guns,a few autographs that can never be replaced,a very expensive hifi system in the living room, they took it all.

When i got out i was allready divorced, she left me while i was in the joint,i had a bag of bullshit clothes she saved for me,was on foot, broke as a joke & still owed over $30,000 in fines & fees to the state.

I fought hard for my possesions & cash, had proof up the ass where it all came from, ive always had a good job since ive been an adult plus i had a decent inheritance on paper as proof,no matter,we got it & its being sold at auction.

And yes i had a good lawyer,a very expensive lawyer with a great acquittal record following him.

Shit might be different in other states but in Michigan they are comming for it all,one plant or 30lbs all in 8th baggies,it dont matter, they are taking it all.

I better understand why you always bitch out the kids coming on here trying to grow in there parents houses!

What you say is true & the conditions of entering into a "criminal enterprise" along with distribution must be met but both those terms are so loose that they can be easily met under any circumstance.

If your wife has scales in the kitchen for cooking its distribution, same goes for zip lock baggies in the cuppord for the kids lunches, have your bud in more than one bag its distribution.

Meeting the conditions of an ongoing criminal enterprise is just as easy, all you need to do is to have one grow going while there are packaged buds in the home, conditions met & it all goes by by.

As for proving that the assets were acquired by an ongoing criminal enterprise its exactly oposite, they take everything right from the start, even before your convicted, then they try & use the assets against you in a leverage play by offering a lessor sentance,if yu dont willingly sign away the rights to those assets the prosecuting attorney fights hard to keep the items seized, the burden of proof ends up being placed on the defendant, which is exactly opposite from the laws, seizure laws are very loose,an accusation from the prosecuting attorney will allways be all the proof the judge needs to sign off, even if you have recipts & can demonstrate where the funds came from.

They've mastered the technique of fleecing us under the guise of helping people.
Beleive everything panhead says, it is the truth, its happened to me too. its called PROCEEDS OF CRIME. even if you have proof you paid for it you do not have proof where your money came from or which things you did buy shit with drug money with or not. thats why they just take it all and take no chance.

And that was in Vancouver B.C. Canada 2004. used my car for K-9 training at there facility. ceased my bank accounts, my apartment, my bike and everything in my place. They are getting fed up with drug dealers and dial-a-dope operations so they stiffened the law by doing this and copied states. on my bail and prhbation conditions I was not allowed to have a cellphone in my possesion, use a cellphone or be in the same car as a cell phone.

not gonna say what state im in, just the awesome US of fucking A. But ive had cash, cell phones, cars, didnt own a house, but just about everything i did own taken from me. Lots of felony charges over weed, but just a minor misdemeanor conviction "accessory after the fact". They still got to keep all my stuff, and the lawyer cost about as much as what they took from me.

You hit it right on the money with that one panhead. I got busted by greed personally and still paying for my mistakes and try to get back to where I was.

How long it take you to get back to where your at now panhead? from where I'm lookng never. At least you got a wife that stuck with you too. my G/F left me as soon as I lost everything and used my last emergency stash on the lawyer. fought for 2yrs on bail got good job everything still took everything and gave me 1yr.

My wife at the time did not stick around past sentancing, after she saw i wasnt comming home she quickly filed for divorce, which in retrospect im glad she did,my new wife (25 years now) has been awesome,i went back to prison a few years later for a non drug related offense & she took care of me & everything else the way she should have,i owe her alot.

Paying off the fines & court costs took me 2 years, the one thing i did have going for me when i got out was my job, i had the ability to work payroll mon thru fri then on sat & sun i worked for time & 1/2 cash,i worked 7 days a week for over 2 years to pay off the bullshit.

Fukers wouldnt let me leave the country till i paid off all the fines,i missed a great oportunity to work in Tokyo Japan,my company was building a high rise there & they wanted me to be part of the build, needless to say i could not go,im still pissed about that shit.

Haha, same kinda bullshit here, one of the things they used against me in court was my affiliation with known outlaw motorcycle club members,i dont ride in no club & personally i think clubs are for assholes but i have family members who wear a patch, that was part of their ongoing criminal intent bullshit they threw at me,as a condition of my parole i could not affiliate with any member of a motorcycle club, and get this,if i wanted to see my older brother the fukers had the nerve to demand i set up a court monitored visit to talk with him,i never followed that rule,i hung out with my family every weekend, fuk them & their bullshit rules.
