Can using 24/0 cause some stretching?

Quick question. Can using 24/0 light cycle cause slight stretching? Can anyone shed some light? Please, only experienced indoor growers need answer.
Based on what ive seen in my grows i think 24/0 is more likely to reduce stretch.

It seems under 24/0 there is a steady slow growth while with 18/6 the growth comes in spurts. Ive often looked at my plants just just before lights out and measured them and then checked em again and measured again shortly after lights on and have seen as much as an 1.5 inch gain in height.

So i have wondered if plants grow like people do...when theyre "sleeping"

Just an observation in the a few of the strains ive done....

So I'm gathering from the responses, no
As I understand and agree with from experience:

Pot can only take in so much light per day, then it gets exhausted and starts drooping. This tells me there is a point when extra light "stops really mattering" cuz the plant has gotten enough for the day.

I've had (kinda large) plants vegging under intense light, and they start drooping about 2-3 hours before their dark period (18/6). As I understand at that point they have reached their light saturation point. The possibility of light saturation leads me to believe that having a dark period can be beneficial. I've run many plants under 24 hours of light but since I had them droop in veg near the end of my light period, i'll pretty much always give them some "sleep."

I don't know if 24/0 would cause stretch, but i've personally found comfort in giving my plants 6-12 hours of rest between lights on.

This is my opinion. But of course if somebody tells me i'm wrong and gives me a good reason why i'd gladly listen!

24/0 doesn't cause stretching, weak lights or no lights cause the plant to stretch because its searching for light..i think
