can veg lighting from 24/0 to 19/5 induce flowering?

i switched my veg lighting from 24/0 to 19/5 9 days ago and it appears that the plants are starting to bud. Should i switch it back to 24/0 or am i fine. I do not want to flower yet. I have given that plants 5x more room to grow and 3x more light, so i do not know if its flowering or new branching

no it can't induce flowering but the stress from the switch could be enough to show sex depending on how long you've vegged for. No need to switch your light cycle back now .... do whatever works for ya

i assume your growing from seed and what your seeing are pre-flowers. 19-5 will not induce plants to flower..

some say that the LEDs can induce flowering, but the ones i used are designed for veg and flower because they have a full spectrum

Above 14 hours light a day min should keep plants vegging, i use 24/0 for vrg but above 20/4 dosent matter as the plant will inevitably take a rest, google 'Circadian Cycle'.

Not flowering but branching, i know they look similar to flowers when small but they grow into branches, easy mistake. Peace

yeah, that is what i thought. It has been months since i gave them enough room and light to really branch out, so it is an easy mistake.

When mature enough, they will show pre flowers, regardless of the light cycle.

Need 12/12 to actually go into bud. You're fine.

some guy told a friend of mine that he veged under 24/0 then i am sure he sed he then went down to like 16/8 and got gr8 results, this is only second hand news but my friend dont suffer fools gladly and he bought what he was saying as true ! so dont no if ur drop of just a few hours from 24 down to 19 is gonna make any diference but had u gone down to 16hrs of light it wud of bin interesting to see what happened then ? eh i wud stick to what ur at dont go back to 24/0 this could be confusing for the plant and u no the outcome of a confused cannabis plant ( hermie ) just drop to 12/12 when ur ready and all shud be well !

Between 14 to 24 hours light is fine, i believe marijuana needs and takes a four hour break every 24 hours lights on or not so i think.

I have stwitched from 16 to 24 to 18 to 14 hours lights consecutively many days in a row and for quite a few weeks in veg and suffered no noticable effects of stress although plants grew taller the less the light period.

As long as a plant gets the light it needs can it be stressed by ever changing light periods in veg? In my country in the summer every day lkength is considerably different due to clouds and rain a lot but plants dont show any visable stress outdoors. I wouldnt think changing light periods or the actual light period would cause stress or bad growth in veg whatsoever but its not somthing i worry about too much.

If your friend dosent suffer fools gladly then i would advise him not to ask for advice here!lol! Peace
