Can YOU Answer This?! SOMEBODY HELP!!

Okay, it doesnt really seem like the more advanced people do much unless they are helping out someone that they are already familiar with so.... I will try again to get this answered....

In my room I have a 1000w mh and alot of space, I just need to know how many plants can I fit under this one light?? lets say I do 10, how long should I let them veg for if I dont want them to be too large for the light? Is it possible to do 15?? if it is, how long should I veg those for? (Im guessing shorter) ***the space is unlimited but I only have the 1 light***

What would you do??
How many could I do if I were to only veg for like 14 days??

Sorry weed. I thought someone with more experience than I have might answer you. I started with just a 400 watt and a setup that holds 20 plants that it one meter square. I used two sided visqueen that I ordered and put around the table leaving a small space around the table and didn't have a problem. As med said about 1/2 of what you put in will turn out male. And when you take those out you will have plenty of light.
Just remember not to get that light too close to the plants.

I just need to know how many plants can I fit under this one light?? I dunno how big are the pots that they are in? Six inchs, 5 gallons?

how long should I let them veg? As long as you want or until nature is done.

Is it possible to do 15? I think you mean grow 15? How many could I do if I were to only veg for like 14 days? One day difference would make no differnce in the number grown.

the light will grow 15 plants up through veg and then when you take the males out you should be alright for flower too....prolly have to use the trasplant method so you dont waste space in the veg part of it..maybe clone them to see what F or M and then switch to bigger pots before you flower....check out some SOG (sea of green) methods...


P.S. veg is usually until there around a foot tall then they're put into flower...therefore there isnt much of a veg/light/day cordination your getting at except for time wise...more light=faster production of veg little light=slower production..like I said check out some techinques used(like SOG) they'll prolly help you out in what your going for here..you got to come up with some ideas on what you want out of the grow..you have to put the equation together before you can answer it

OK, here's the deal. Rule of thumb is one plant per square foot of growing space and at least 50 watts per square feet of light. So, that would give you 20 square feet of growing space to get to the 50 watt figure ... and 20 plants to get to the one plant per square foot.

If you want to grow smaller plants, say in a Sea of Green style, then increase to four plants per square feet under the same light. That would be 80 plants. Veg them to six inches, cut the lower growth off, then start the flowering cycle. The idea would be to end up with 80, single cola plants, all yielding between 1/4 and 1/2 ounch each.

Now, if you want to grow monsters, do fewer plants, but concentrate them more under the light. I know someone who grew one monster plant inside of a walk-in closet, under one, 1000 watt HPS and ended up harvesting 2.5 pounds!

ViREDD makes some very good points indeed.
Your light should cover a 4'x5' area nicely.
There are 2 features that distinguish mature veggie plants from immature ones. They are alternating nodal arrangement and leaves with 5 or more blades. You can flower before those features are present, but the plants perform a whole lot better if you wait. Most strains except for equ. sats have these by 12" or so.
Your mh light will produce some high quality bud, although a HPS is preferred, I've read some about users using a MH light to flower with, and they reported a slight decrease in yeild, but claim potency was up.
Many feel using Metal Halide during flowering produces more potent bud because there’s a little UV light in the spectrum.

I think that the simple answer to your question, and the opinion that you are looking for is.....yes. You can grow 15 plants under a 1000w light. I would veg them for about a month. If you get 8-10 females you will have NO problem with 1000w of light. HPS would be better for flower, but you will be happy with your results with the MH.

i have 27 under a 1000 hps and they are 8 inches or so and my space is unlimited. i veg until 2 ft and then flower. no problems. hope this helps
