Can you Check Over My List before I Make the Plunge

Im a first time medical grower. I want to be within my legal limits (6 mature or 12 immature), and be safe about this. Dont want to attract any attention. I want to have around 4-6 plants. looking for quality not really quantity. Ok so this is what i was thinking:

Im hoping to get away with a 400w unless you guys think a 600w would be produce overall better quality.

I was going to get a 6'' radiant AC hood with 600w lumatek dimmable ballast ( this is mainly to keep my options open, i figure I could alway crank it up to 600w if the 400w doesnt do the job)

DR120 tent (4x4x6.5) or dr90 (3X3X6). I know the 4x4 would be best for a 600 but kind of like the idea of a little extra space so its not super cramped in there. Opinions?)

next a 4'' (200CFM) or 6'' (400CFM) inline fan (sunleaves windtunnel). I will be adding a carbon scrubber as well as cooling my hood. Is a 200CFM too low if i decide on 600w) I was just going to order a carbon filter off ebay is that ok?

Im probably going to go soil first time around. Is FFOF with 20% perlite good?(what about dolamite or whatever?) Also I was going to get the smart pots. Are they worth it? What size should i get?

for nutrients i was goin to go botanicare pro grow, pro bloom, liquid karma, cal mag plus, and clearex to flush when needed. What do you think about these? anything better that you would use?


Also any extra tips you can give me would be great.

dude, looks like you got your shit staight, run with it. you could go with the lumetex 600-1000, and leave your options even more open, but your on the right track

yea ive been researching.. what do you think about the fan tho? do you think 200 CFM will be enough to cool a 600w and run a carbon filter?

yeh, get the 400 cfm , trust, you ll be happy. the speed should be adjustable as well. get the 600 if your already gonna fork over $$$ for the 400. the extra light / lumens etc will go along way, especially if you have the 4x4 tent wich is the way to go IMO. and dont know first hand about the smart pots. but yeah FFOF with 20 % perlite, is cool . maybe add some peat moss. somethin like that. but your golden. get started.

pick up a sweetener! Either Sweet if your running Botanicare, or another brand, only pick one and don't over do it.

The only thing i would change is from a lumatek ballast to a quatum ballast their built alittle better and last longer..JMO...But everything else is fine..
