Lets get straight to it..I've got multiple deficiencies and no matter what I do all I can get out of both of my plants is slow growth.
Ok, so a couple days ago I had noticed that alot of my shoot growths on my Sativa have been smaller than usual and now are turning yellow. I just figured that it was the leaves getting old and dieing off to be replaced by new growth so I would clip them and discard them. Now its spreading to the new growth on the main stem, the leaves themselves are forming well but they are way too lime green.
I have two plants, 1 Indica and 1 Sativa in the same pot. They have been growing quite nicely together so I never though of seperating them. About two days ago I had noticed that my 10" black plastic pot full of my favorite MG mix was being depleted of moisture every single day so that I would have to water them almost twice a day. I painstakingly transplanted them into a huge 16" pot and used a different kind of MG garden mix. They were not effected by the transplant but the yellowing became more apparent, more so in the Sativa than my Indy.
This is my 11th time growing MJ but I have been growing other things like tomatoes and beans for years and never have had this problem with my MG soils so I tend to preffer MG over all others. Did my research on them and nute,"lock-up" tends to be the prevailing factor in MJ and plant death.
Anyways, im growing on my patio and the weather here has been extremely wet and cool one day and arid and hot the next... on my patio on hot days temps reach 105! I have stuck to what has worked for me in the past and have only watered with rain water and only in the morning and/or at night so i dont shock the root system with the cool water in warm soil. I add banana peels and water polymer crystals to give the soil more water retention and more oraganic Potassium. I also use synthetic 10-50-10 greenhouse quality Plantex granule ferts bi-weekly. Lastly, the patio gets about 8 hours of full sun.
What I'm trying to get at is that I have been real careful about what I give my plants and it seems no matter how hard I try, the worse the situation gets. I realize that I need to have my soil tested but with fresh soil on them should I just wait a week and see if the problems go away? Another thing I realized is that I am growing a species of MJ that preffers indoor climates as I got my Sativa from my guy who grows only Trainwrecks but why is my Indica showing some of the same conditions when it was from a brick weed bag and most likely grown outdoors in Mexico?
I could keep goin on and on how I fert and whatever else but I know they are exibiting classic nute Lock-up...I just don't know what will remedy it. Tried Epsom salt, Dolomite lime seems a bit too late, flushing is a little premature, adding more fert will only make problems worse and by comparing these plants to the ones I have transplanted to my other outdoor plot. I know there is alot of stunting going on as the other plants are 6 feet in height, have deep green leaves and massive stems! Anybody have any ideas?
Lemme know if any of you need more info to help me correctly diagnose my issue, I hope that these attachments help.
