I heard you can use black lights to grow, is this true? if so how and is there any advantages/disadvantages.
Can you grow with black lights?

Black lights produce UV or ultraviolet light (wavelengths below 380 nanometers), so they would not provide energy for photosynthesis which uses visible light (about 400 to 700 nanometers).
There is some speculation that UV light increases the production of THC, but I haven't seen/heard anything definitive.
