Without getting into Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density (PPFD). Your answer really depends on the size of the grow space. If ppfd is too high the plant will experience stunted growth, light bleaching, and a number of other issues.

You dont have to spend a shitload of dollars in order to do things right. hell , I just got 3 oz dry (88.3 grams) off an autoflower Trans Siberian plant.. Its fucking fire too.

I grew it under a 60$ 180 watt ufo led .

look into citizen chips. Clu048 1212's are cheap good chips or the quantum boards. Look into northern grow lights and cobkits.

Just posted a setup yesterday. 210 actual watts about 225$,I thought was a little high but excellent product

It appears that these new Quantum Boards that are jussssst starting to emerge on the scene might be something for you to consider. They can be made to be extremely low-profile and can disperse the light well at a closer range.
Northern Grow Lights is the place to ask about them....and Johnson Grow lIghts, too - I think.

I guess I should have specified.. lol..

My room is 8x8..... divided in half.... so 4x8. And I'm using as much room as is allowed by the top space canopy of my 4 foot 8 bulb t5..

So this brings us to 4x2 !!
5 plants in a 4x2 space.... half a pound.
This was with autos in soil, so I figure good genetics in my hydroponics system should preform better.

I've got clones going now and my cycle is started.. after I dial everything in, on a 3 week cycle, I don't think it will be hard to achieve half to 3/4 pound every three weeks.. once i find the right genetics.
that's pretty close close to your 3 pounds every 8 weeks... AT A FRACTION OF THE PRICE lol

I'm not saying that your lights aren't badass man don't get me wrong, I like fancy things.. I drive amgs..
I'm just saying I'm not willing to spend that much money at the moment, when I can preform close 3/4 for half the price...
I know I won't change your mind, but I'll post some pics of in about 2 months of results!
Do the same! We've got about the same sized room the main difference will be high dollar leds compared to cheapo crap Chinese ones!
It would be interesting to say the least :)

It was while I was in the middle of finishing the room and getting everything situated.. just something to hold me over for the meantime.
My plan is a 3 week cycle 4-6 plants per hydro tub. Cut every 3 weeks and start clones every three weeks, switch from veg to flower every 3 weeks... I'm sure you guys know . Also I had to find some genetics I liked, which I have now.. this room will be pretty full before too long :)

Just saw your edits- dude, I was totally stoned trolling. "minus two cents" had a fun ring to it. I type like I'm new to english, i'm the last person to be trying to correct anybody on that stuff in a serious tone lol

-2 cents tho... that could not have been a mistake. That must have been intentional, and I personally kinda love it. But hey, its just minus two cents.
