can you identify my strain?

I once sampled a most incredible bud. I need to know what it is so I can grow it myself! I'll tell you everything about it, you let me know if you recognize it.

Small, popcorn-like buds, but dense. Light green in color, and velvety soft to the touch. Heavy crystal formation, most likely predominately sativa, the trichomes were still very white/clear. Soaring high, made you giggle at everything. I know some of this is subjective, but bear with me, it might help. Here's the kicker, it's most pronounced characteristic... are you ready? It smelled exactly like a full body merlot. Dead on.

You can see why I'd like this strain. Anybody recognize it?

Hmmm ... Merlot? Did it taste like grape? See the C-99 thread. The high you described matches that of Cindy-99. Discussed in the thread is a Cindy-99 and AK-47 cross that I grew out. It tasted like Concord grape. Didn't smell like wine, though.

No, I kinda doubt it was a major cross. I know it's source, and it was definately a homogenous strain or maybe an F1 hybrid, but it couldn't have had a strong lineage with a bunch of different strains. Cindy 99 x Ak-47 does sound very plausible, but I'm left wiht doubts. Anybody else have an idea on what it could be? The guy I bought it from called it Purple Haze, but he could easily have just been trying to sell me a name, and though it smelled like wine it definately didn't look like a purple strain. But to be honest, I only had a gram and wasn't able to examine a "telltale" bud.

idk what it could be... maybe its purple haze who really knows... but damn it sounded like some gooooooooooooooood ass weed

Barneys Farm sells it... I saw it on attitude's site.... the one thing that stood out... the ELEVEN weeks of flowering time... and the pic didnt even look like cannabis.. i'd love to try it though... Derry, from barneys, says it is a pure sativa high and like no other strain out there.. one of his favs...
