Can you identify this bug?

Damn funky bug party you got going on there, took me ages to find out what bug i had going in my flat and occasionally munching my plants and it turned out to be a varied carpet beetle, looks similar to yours a bit but i know totally unrelated.
In tracking my bug down i had to find out what it was i.e. how many legs, dose it have seperate or joined thorax abdomen and head etc etc then i was able to pinpoint it with the markings on its back.
When i finally found the description of carpet beetle it said it had wings but couldnt be bothered to fly which kind of summed up the bugs i had (lazy!). I did all this over the net and found one or two bug websites where experts would identify the bug you had too.
