Can you make a male plant turn female somehow?

Ive heard from a few BAD sources that if you pinch off the nut sacks on a male plant, right from the start, it will turn into a hemaophrodite.


This does not sound too plausible to me, but Im throwing it out there because Ive heard of hermaphrodite plants before. What are they, and how are they made? Can anyone tell me??

If you're trying to get smokeable bud, try again, it's not happening with that male.

I guess it would be possible with the typical methods of feminization; light cycle, collidial silver, gibberlic acid... But it's definately not worth the time money and effort.

You're not getting any smoke from that male, sorry. :leaf:

males do contain thc but in small amounts , ive heard of people making oil hash etc but imho its not worth fucking about with , put your rescources into growing females and the males wont be worth the hassle to you .

ive grown hundreds of females and i like growing the males better it tried experimenting with alot of shit but it is better to know how to grow ur male =/ unless u slack

well if ur smart you'll buy exspensive lights to keep ur plant a veggie till its almost 5-6 ft and then flower it, in the flowering stage if it does turn up to be male u dont have to throw it out, Secret Number One, it wont pollinate ur females if u dont let the green pods burst open, so cut them off, fill like an inch of the bottom of a big jar up with fresh leaves, and fill up almost all the jar with alil bud and every little male pod u cut off "which will grow faster then the bud so watch it" let it cure for awhile stirrin it up everyknow in the but the flower pollen trapped inside the pods is very good for smoking =/

this is my first time ever seeing a site like this ive grown plants for years on my own no help I probably know more then anyone else in this whole site because they probably learned how to grow from a book or from so bullshit on the internet. its worth keepin males when it quadrouples ur money:fire:

that would stress the fuck out of the male plant. its like picking all the flowers off the stems of tulips....no bueno. ive tried doing crap like that and
1. it takes a long friggin time to cut all the balls off
2. the thc content in a stressed out male gone hermi is too low for worth
3. could possibly polinate some of your crop.

the only reason to keep a male plant around is for the females. if a female plant is within the vicinity of a male plant, it somehow knows it and actually has less chance of being stressed out and becoming a hermi and selfing.

thats my experiance

growing has been in my family for generations. we have a 10'x20' room dedicated to breeding males.
alot of the people here DO understand the basics on how to grow and are actually quite knowledgable if you read around and have any questions to be asked. but if you want to stick around and poke fun, i suggest you leave.
