it depends on your goal, if your goal is to produce the most amount of bud possible then hps is for you,
but if your aiming for the highest grade and yield isn't your main concern then mh is better.
mh is closer to the suns light therfore it reacts with the plants defense mechanism and thc production is higher.
this is why outdoor is better than indoor, because the sun makes the weed more stoney

I feel that some people argue just for the sake of argument sometimes.
It is a generally accepted method to switch from MH to HPS when going from Veg to Flower. This isn't exclusive to this forum, this plant, or any part of the world. It is generally accepted, why argue it because you think you have some "inside information" that MH is somehow better?
OP, use your HPS for flower, and switching in between won't cause any problems at all.

because unlike you i don't just believe everything i read, any idiot can put a bunch of bullshit on a page and pass it off as fact, then someone links to it and it all snowballs from there, it wasn't so long ago there was a web page about feeding your plants anti pregnancy tablets.
unlike you I have actually grown plants using both, and hps is outright better.
unless you have first hand information and not just spouting something that is plastered all over the internet then i got no time, if you actually tried it for yourself then you would see.
there have been enough other threads on the positives of using a mh for flowering and there are also lots of threads about uvb for plants during flowering, which a mh bulb gives more of and therefore makes the plant more potent.
I don't sell my shit and i grow more than enough anyway, so i might as well make it the most potent shit i can.
There 1000's of people like you ready to bash anyone who says you can use other bulbs just as succesfully in bloom as you can hps.
I use both together because thats even better than using either bulb singularly.
Your not going to convince me that hps is just categorically better because its not, its better for gaining bulk, but not for potency.

if this was true then why at every hydro store you go to the tell you mh veg, hps flower. son if that was tre then every one on this site would be useing mh. do your homework.
mh does not gain bulk.

You really don't know much about online forums do you? Do you need comments like "you're a faker and you don't know shit"?
I do know my shit and if he had asked "I have the ability to use two bulbs, what should I do?" then I would consider your arguement.
But when someone says "Which is better for flower" I give the same answer that you did right here...
I know you like to start these arguments so you can act like some kind of bud growing God and start an argument about a subject that you enjoy, but this thread isn't about Easygrinder, it's about which bulb is the generally accepted better bulb for growing. Not because it's splattered all over the internet, because it's true.
Used to be there was only MH, then HPS came along and changed things, and the crops were better and the popularity of the light took off.
If you want to grow with MH because you like the potency better, that's great, but you know that you are sacrificing a lot to do so and not growing using the "best" method.
Please try to be respectful though, you have no idea what my experience level is in growing and especially being a newb here you might think to calm down on claiming people can't grow because they don't agree with you.

its ok, you can stick with your hps and grow your nice big fat buds,
i'll be using both together and get super fat super potent buds, but if your too ignorant to listen when someone says something different to what you believe then thats up to you.
and just for the record, mh buds do fatten up, not quite as much as hps but they do fatten up, you carry on believing everything your told without questioning anything. If your ignorance is bliss then you must be in exstacy.

I flower under two HPS and I have the ability to chose to make one of them an MH. I use 2 bulbs because I like the use of 2 400w's instead of a 600w or even a 1000w.
I care quite a bit about yeild. Potency is obviously very important, but I try to grow as much as possible. You can claim that potency is more important than quantity, but you sure get excited if you get 2 or 4 extra ounces out of your growing.
I can't give up on those 2 to 4 oz's for a little more potency when the shit I'm growing is already FIRE.

if you did one mh and one hps you wouldn't lose anything, only gain potency, the mixture is the best lighting setup to use, any pro out there will say to mix the two is the best option

I don't disagree with that, but I keep my lights right on top of my plants. The light spectrums wouldn't mix much and I would basically just have 1/2 buds grown under MH and 1/2 under HPS.
